Mattamy Homes

Mattamy is a great builder and honours all repairs on the home warranty, no questions asked. We had water in the basement, and after running the hose on the foundation and the builder seeing the water, they went to extensive measures to fix the problem including 2 follow up visits to ensure it was done properly and we wouldn't have issues in the future.

I've recently moved into my new home bought from Mattamy. When we speak of Substantial Completion, this should include the surrounding environment.

Mattamy moved us into a total War zone, completely unsafe for my family, heavy machinery on my lawn, no grading, no driveway, no sidewalks. Halfway complete buildings as far as the eye can see.

We need to wear full safety gear to exit the house, I can't find a hard hat for my 1 year old kid though.

Where to start... I purchased in May of this year and here we are well into November with what looks like another month or two to go. This is my first house and what a horrible challenging experience this has been already. The back corner of my house was hit with a piece of large equipment which broke one or more of the post tension rods in the slab not to mention the slab it's self. Also because of that the beams have split. This is a serious issue. When we brought it to the supers attention all he could say is it will be engineered. We have asked for stays updates on repairs for over 3 weeks now. When someone finally does respond, we still get "it's being engineered. I decided to make a trip down to the job site (I live 150miles away) this past Thursday to my surprise to find the house wrapped and ready for stucco. The load bearing column in place, the beams covered up, and of course the broken slab and broken rod(s) that is visible from the street. Nothing has or is being engineered at the moment. I guess this is little concern for Mattamy. If I don't get some answers I will be contacting an attorney.

This builder is absolutely brutal. I really don't know where the positive comments come from because talking to all my neighbours, they have similar or worse issues than me (foundation cracks). Where to start. Well, during my pre-possession walk through there were still painters in the home and numerous items that still had not been completed. In my opinion, your home should be done at this point, how else are you supposed to tell what needs to be fixed if they aren't even done yet? Anyways, did they move the possession date back? Nope? Why? They need their money now to build more garbage homes for the next sucker. Post possession one month they came back to fix items that should have been done correctly in the first place. This was not an easy task. It took them 5 days with contractors in and out the entire time to get the home up to somewhat par. Issues included: bowed windows and doors, unsloped deck/ concrete floor in the garage, paint, ventilation, closets. I'm still dealing with unsolved issues and I have been on these guys for a year. Literally, every time they send someone it is a new warranty guy and I have even heard their own employees complain about them. They are too cheap to pay their employees overtime, so they work 9-5 and expect them to get 15 hours of work done. I don't blame the employees, clearly a bigger issue is their corporate culture. They don't care about their customers or their employees and need to make some major changes. 2 big thumbs down!

I recently bought a home from Mattamy Homes. Their Design Centre located in Oakville is one of the best! Tiffany helped us in putting together our colours and decor and everything turned out so well! I am very pleased with our new home and will recommend Mattamy Homes to every one. We were very well looked after.

We are very happy with both homes that we purchased from Mattamy, they provide a quality home, great service, and the staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. They definitely go above and beyond when it comes to customer service and workmanship.

Not impressed with the quality. I feel that this was just mass production and apart from the upgrades the materials are very inferior and it's only six years since we bought our home and everything seems to be falling apart internally. I think the electrical was done poorly as I have gone through 4 microwaves already. Not very great customer service when I tried to contact them to fix some of the problems.

Amazing customer service, priced just right, built right on time. Simply amazing! I read some negative reviews but out of all the homes they've sold and just a handful of negative reviews, seems pretty good to me! Some people will never be happy with anything. I was simply amazed with the customer service and absolutely love my home!!! I highly recommend Mattamy homes!! Gorgeous homes, gorgeous plans and just amazing costumer service. Thank you, Mattamy!!

This was my third home from Mattamy within 12 years n it is perfect .they have done a very great job I m completely satisfied. Strongly recommending. To every one wants to buy a new house.
