Don't buy A whirlpool Induction Stove

Worst customer service purchased an ikea induction cooktop made by whirlpool. Installed it three months ago and it stop working called ikea and they washed their hands and pointed me to Whirlpool. I called whirlpool on Wednesday and everything seemed oK for a Friday repair.. Friday came the repair guy (Scott) Call me and did his diagnostics over the phone WOW i took a day off of work for this he told me they would order the part and be by next Thursday to install and fix I called on Wednesday Dec 16 the day before the repair I was concerned that no one followed up to let me know when they will be by.. Called Scott he told me to call whirlpool WOW I called whirlpool they told me to call the repair rep.. After raising my voice they told me the parts are on back order with no clear delivery date.. WOW one week before Christmas iI have no stove no knowing when it will be repaired. Never buy Whirlpool and I am never buying an appliance from IKEA ever again.. Government need to step in and hold these people accountable

Fromt Loader Washimg Machine

Front loader Duet purchased new in 2011. Model # WFW94770WW01. Only 4 years and had service come in as it stopped spinning. Cost $100.56 service call and 5 minutes to tell me motor is fried and bearings gone. And we are lucky it didn't burn the house down as a fire had started inside. Great house is still standing. Cost to fix. Estimated $1000. This machine is only 4 years old and was not cheap. Called Whirlpool and all I got was "we sorry to hear about that and we will note your concern". Will not be purchasing expensive garbage from Whirlpool or any affiliated company again.

top load washing machine WTW5500WX0

top load washer bought in 2013, lid lock failed ($117 tax added) and then main computer failed ($418 tax included)...paid $100 to be told by technician to drop the washer on the side of the road...and get another one, because in his opinion, they were a piece of junk not worth putting more money into it...contacted whirlpool for repairs and told nothing will be done because over 1 year warranty...called consumer protection in Quebec and told whirlpool is frequent target of complaints and they have to abide by 5 year legal warranty in Quebec...reminded whirlpool about Quebec 5 yrs warranty, then contacted by the chief consumer care staff who now informs me that whirlpool will pay for parts but not labor...the question is, does Whirlpool knows about the legal warranties in some state and provinces but willfully mislead consumers into believing there is only their, obviously woefully inadequate 1 year warranty?

Washer and Dryer

Our washing machine is getting clothes's trapped and producing friction causing excessive and heavy smoke from the drum. Our dryer has a random bolt/screw in the drum that catches and tears clothes. Contacted Whirpool on September 15/15 with my concerns. I was advised that I would need to pay $89 for the visit and $25 per 15 minutes for diagnosis of the machines! Absolutely ridiculous that 2 machines that are a potential FIRE hazard is now going to cost me hundreds of dollars.

Refrigerator repair

We had a problem with our built in Kitchenaide refrigerator. Granted it was almost 10 years old. We called Whirlpool and they told us to call HARGTA in Mississauga. The technician came out in 2 business days and right away knew what the problem was. It was a faulty board and fan. The fan was still available but the board could be discontinued. After a few days of trying to get an answer, we found out that the board would have to be taken out and sent away to be rebuilt. I did receive an email finally from the customer service manager that Merv will look after this. After 5 weeks and the fridge getting noisier and the food on the brink of spoiling we decided to go ahead and purchase a Samsung refrigerator from Lowes. I will not buy Whirlpool again if it means that I have to deal with HARGTA as the authorized repair dealer. I never did speak with Merv. If they had no interest in repairing the fridge, then let us know. Don't let us stew about it.

whirlpool gold french door fridge

I purchased this fridge in 2011 and have had service out about 6 times, replaced ice maker, defrost drip assembly, defrost or main panel and still after 3 more visits the veg crisper still freezes up. Have been waiting 2 months for another part to try to fix, I think there trying to drag there ass and hope after this attempt to fix the Xtended warranty will run out. The store I bought it from is very good with service and have bought appliances from them for over thirty years but seems like whirlpool doesn't give a dam. I will strongly advise anyone to not buy Whirlpool and will never buy anything with that name again.

Dryer

Never buy from whirlpool they are the worst co. I have had a non working dryer for 2 months now, that is less than a year old, and falls within the manufacturer's warranty. Whirlpool have sent out technicians around 20 times or more to come and replace all possible parts to the dryer, and it still does not work. Instead of just giving me a new dryer all they keep doing is repairing it, saying we cannot provide a new dryer until a new part in installed, there parts just keep adding. At this point they have replace all possible parts and still they want to keep repairing. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND what part they do not understand that the dryer is not repairable. There own service technicans state that they tell them that it cannot be repaired yet they keeping sending their techs to repair the product. If someone at whirlpool had any SENSE they would logically sit to calculate that the amount of time and money they spent in providing new parts, paying for their technicans and the cost for all the service calls it would be cheaper to just give the customer a new dryer. BE AWARE DO NOT BUY WHIRLPOOL. They are the worst company to buy from.

Washer

Bad customer service, No care about his customers.
I have called 3 times for a service and the techs never have showed up. They were calling the wrong number and even when the service could be done within the time frame that they gave me , the tech refused to provide it.
Whirlpool did not care about and asked me to reschedule again the service. The worst service ever...

Washing machine

I bought a washing machine and dryer less than 3 years ago and it has already been giving my family problems. The door was stuck with clothes inside. The power button kept getting stuck and the control board is now broken and needs to be replaced. It costs half the price of the washing machine to replace!!! My husband and I are extremely disappointed with this product and how the company has dealt with it. We will no longer be buying whirlpool products!!!!
