White Shark Window Cleaning

Bill, Tony and Joel painted upstairs and stairwell to basement. They did a most fabulous job. They, their manager, Roger and secretary are most approachable. They were on time. They successfully dealt with many challenges posed by house structure because previous owner was a "do-it-yourselfer". They are all most pleasant and professional people. They went way beyond their call of duty by fixing structures which were required for painting. They are most meticulous in customer satisfaction. I would certainly use them again. I highly recommend White Shark, especially Bill, Tony and Joel. Gershon Pick, North York

So... I contacted White Shark to do the following:

Clean out our eavestroughs, clean out windows-- inside, outside and screens. I got a quote for all of the above.

However when I returned home, my windows were still dirty (see picture). Upon emailing White Shark (derek@whiteshark.ca), I got no answer. After a month, I emailed back to understand why they did not clean my windows as requested (and quoted on). I got a phone call from Nadia (nadia@whiteshark.ca). She agreed that they did not do the inside of the windows. But that was not was requested. I sent the email with the original request and quote which indicates inside of window. "Oh, well, we missed that. But you didn't pay for it any way."

Umm... but my windows are still very dirty. There are spiderwebs inside my windows. That's really the main reason I wanted them cleaned thoroughly. I still can't see clearly through my windows. Isn't that the point of getting them cleaned?

"Well, we get all sorts of different requests. We can come back and clean them. For another $100."

????

No discount, no apology. Just-- we didn't do it and that's that.

They have no problem sending me constant emails reminding me to pay my $300 invoice.

I will probably do the right thing and pay up although I feel really ripped off-- my windows are not clean!! I also find it odd that at no point while they were removing the screens to clean them, they didn't think-- hey-- shouldn't we at least ask if they want the inside of the windows cleaned??? Would have been a upsell opportunity at the very least.

Very disappointed and will never recommend White Shark. Absolute crap service.

Received a quote for $200. Final bill was over $400. The guyS who cleaned the windows did an excellent job. They were prompt and finished the job in a timely manner.

I was very satisfied by the leaf removal and window cleaning however their painting service was terrible I was told specifically that I would have someone show up between 9 and 11 in order to get a quote and took the day off work to be home I got a call around 930 to say that someone would be by around 11:30 after several attempts to contact no one showed up at all, I am now out a day's pay and the company is out a loyal customer.

Do not trust this Company. The original quote was for $140.00 for cleaning my eaves. The person I spoke to on the phone was Nadia and I made it perfectly clear that I had leaf guards and would appreciate it if they were discarded. She then let me know that this was a separate task and that this would be $160.00 per hour on top of the $140 but that it shouldn't be too costly as they would remove them in a time efficient manner. Implicitly I stated, that I did not want any surprises and that this bill should not exceed $200. She assured me over and over that this would not be the case.
The guys that showed up for the job arrived later then 10:30a.m. that was quoted and spent a great deal of time in their van. When I questioned the bill with the Manager, she could not give me clarity around how much time was actually spent on the eaves vs the removal of the mesh (how absolutely ridiculous!!) but, she knows that they took at total of 2 hours to do the job. They actually started the job at 10:50a.m. and spent quite a bit of time in their van. My neighbour let me know that they had left sometime after 11:45a.m. So, the Manager either blatantly deceived , or their employees decided to take an early lunch and not tell the Office that the job was completed.
I take issue with their business practices as what you expect to pay doesn't end up being the final result. Judging on the other reviews, I conclude that their vexatious business practices must be how they continually conduct themselves. I intend on never using them again and filing a complaint with BBB. immediately. The Manager should really get some training on customer service because she is deplorable.

This company does great work, but has terrible customer service. The workers that came to my house did a great job, but the invoice for the work was shocking. Five hundred and 27 dollars for 4.5 hours of work by two workers. I called and praised the work, but complained it was an awful lot to pay for window cleaning. Many calls later the bottom line was "too bad". They provided a quote on a go forward basis, but said this time, I would pay 75 dollars more than the quote. It was a very easy fix for them. Too bad - I would have been a loyal customer.

I have used this company a few times now, they are on time and polite. If they are running late I get an email letting me know. I have a difficult property to access and these guys always seem I get it done right. I can see why so many people use them. I would highly recommend them.
