Customer Service (Mississauga)

We paid $3,560 for a residential awning so that we could enjoy our backyard with our 2 young boys and elderly parents. I convinced my husband it was a good investment that would pay itself off after many years of enjoyment.
The awning was installed this summer (summer of 2016), after a few weekends of trying to use it we noticed 2 things: a) the material is noticeably wrinkled in certain areas and b) the awning does not give us shade at any point (any hour) in the day.
After 2 emails, a phone call/vm and an online post - we were able to arrange for a technician to come out and help us with an assessment and possibly an adjustment. We are very grateful for someone getting back to us and we look forward to the resolution to our product questions/concern. Thank you.

Absent Customer Service

The awning was installed this summer (summer of 2016), after a few weekends of trying to use it we noticed 2 things: a) the material is noticeably wrinkled and b) the awning does not give us shade at any point (any hour) in the day.
My husband sent an email to the company on September 2, 2016 asking for assistance and the reply we received was an attempt to upswell us on additional accessory products instead of sending a technician out to see what is happening. Disappointing problem solving. My husband then clearly asked for someone to come out to help us and we have had no response to that email to date. I then called Helen Golubev (general manager) the person who tried to upswell us instead of speaking to my husband and problem solve in live time. I left Helen a voice mail early this week restating what our ask was and requested she call my husband. Helen did not call us back this week.
This is an example of completely absent customer service. Our ask was a very reasonable one and now I am left not just dissatisfied but angry as well (hence the post).
If you would like to correct your wrong then please call us - this is our purchase # 16-01322H.
We would love to have someone out to simply assess and possibly readjust our awning.
