Dishwasher & Valve Issue

My husband and I were disappointed with my most recent services from Water Works are done with their services. This was the third time we used them over the past few years and even bought into the preferred customer package which allows us 10% services. First of all, 10% off does nothing with their high prices. However, if the service was superb, it wouldn't be so bad.

The Call- Called on a Friday at 5pm and they were booked up for the weekend and couldn't send anyone until Monday afternoon.

The Job- To repair a copper drain line from our dishwasher and take a look at the water shut off valve. The copper line was replaced with a proper hose easy peasy. 30min job. The cost of the hose at Lowes $24.99 the cost of the job $350 and that's with 10% off for being a preferred customer. Now the lagging issues. First, they could not plug the dishwasher back in. They insisted they needed an extension cord. I called my husband and asked him to buy a grounded extension cord on his way home which in the end wasn't needed as the master electrician that we also had over doing work was able to plug it back in for us. Once plugged in we learned that the dishwasher was not working properly. Called Water Works back and was told we had to wait until Wednesday for someone to come back out. Umm. Nope. Next day late afternoon Michael Y. And his apprentice came back. After insisting multiple times something was wrong with our dishwasher. I had to argue that our dishwasher was fine and that we really think is was something to do with the valve. In the end, it was the valve. And, Michael was able to get the dishwasher plugged in without the use of an extension cord. However, when flushing the toilet that is directly above and connected to the valve it is now making a loud and long flush noise. Not calling them back again. I'll just take the loss this time and call in someone else.

I also don't like the pushiness of rating them 10/10 on homestars. It's uncomfortable. We were reminded five times! Twice in person, once over the phone, once via email and once via text message!!! With offers of them sending you "gifts" in doing so. Third time is a charm I guess. This time I told the truth.

Approximate cost of services:
$350.00

Company Response

Dear Erin,We appreciate your review. We had various challenges to replace your water line.We did come to your home 2 times. When we came the first time the dishwasher was pulled out by someone else. The location of the valve was in an unusually difficult access underneath your cabinetry. We did come out the next day at no charge to you and repaired an additional broken valve.Although the noise upstairs is not related in any way to the repairs in the kitchen, however we would be glad to come out at no charge to see what we can do to resolve that issue. We do appreciate you as repeat client. Please contact Natasha to set up a convenient time.
