Arby Cartage

My wife and I recently moved, and used Arby Cartage based solely on the experiences of others on Homestars. From start to finish, they exceeded even our highest expectations. From the initial estimate by Arby (which turned out to be PRECISELY what we ended up paying), to the day of the move itself, it would have been impossible to complain about even the smallest detail. Anil and his crew arrived early and worked tirelessly. Every item that required extra care was wrapped in protective blankets. Stairs and railings were always protected. They were friendly and courteous at all times. At the end of the move, not a single item was damaged or broken. I simply cannot recommend them any more highly. Family members said it best when they said that for the service we got, and the speed with which it was performed, you simply cannot do it any better (or any cheaper) by yourself.

If you are considering a moving company, and have read this and all the reviews above, ask yourself, "Why am I not calling Arby Cartage right now?"!

We've used these guys twice, and both times they've been terrific. Once to move stuff into storage (much larger move) and then to move stuff out (smaller). They've done everything I've asked them to and more -- no attitude - very customer oriented. They came when they said they would, and finished faster than I thought they could. They aren't the cheapest out there, but for a very reasonable price, you get great service. No wall divots or scrapes, and they helped me put some things back together, too.

Anil and Arby seem to have a very customer-oriented attitude. When booking the move, Arby suggested a 16 ft. truck and I explained that I was very nervous about getting a truck that was too small because of two bad past experiences. Arby said something like "I don't want us to be one of those bad experiences -- let's make it 24 ft.". No need to convince him it was needed or justify it. (In the end, I think it was needed but I'm not sure. There was still room in the truck but it didn't seem like very much.)

Our move was done by Anil (a partner?) and another guy whose name I've forgotten. As far as I could see, both worked almost non-stop for the entire 7.5 hours without the long break mid-way that I've seen other movers take. Anil, in particular, impressed me by his cheerful, helpful attitude for the entire time.

I was a bit disappointed by the amount of time it took for the move but I think I just underestimated the time needed to go down long hallways and use the elevators in both buildings (one of which was quite small and slow).

The only negative thing I can say is that they arrived 45 minutes early. I suppose some people wouldn't mind that but it made an already stressful day a bit more stressful. But of course, that is better than being 45 minutes late.

My inter-city move from Toronto to Hamilton was absolutely painless! I called Arby Cartage to get a (very reasonable) price quote for my residential move, and to book a date - it could not have been easier. The charming Arby and his dedicated sidekick, Mike, showed up just before 9 a.m. and they were completely finished the job by noon. They were courteous, trustworthy and very careful with my things. Arby Cartage was recommended to me by a girl at work, and I would highly recommend them to anyone who plans to move within a 50-mile radius of Toronto.

This was my first time using movers - my girlfriend and I moved from 2 separate apartments into a third one. I spoke with Anil at the company for an initial estimate. He was courteous, professional, and clearly committed to customer satisfaction.

On the day of the move, Arby's team was a little late due to traffic. They called in advance and apologized, and ensured that the "official" clock started after they arrived and were fully set up, which was great. The team worked extremely hard moving all furniture, and were more careful with the furniture than I probably would have been. The team was extremely professional, and the total moving cost came in under the estimate.

I would highly recommend Arby Cartage for any residential moves. In fact, the next time I move, I will definitely use them again. Great job Arby Cartage!!!

Anil and his helper were truly outstanding. I was moving from my loft in Roncesvalles Village to my new location in the Annex, which had a very narrow staircase to the second floor. I'm happy to recommend Arby Cartage to anyone who needs careful and efficient movers - the guys showed up on time, worked hard and were wonderfully good-natured as they went about their work. Their price without question provided outstanding value for the job at hand. I'll definitely call this company again when it comes time to make my next move!

Checked out Arby Cartage through a few sources as there are a lot of scams on the market in Toronto. They showed up 15 minutes early and had everything to the new place and unloaded in under 3 hours. It was extremely helpful as I had a few things going on that day and needed this to be done as quickly as possible. Great service, friendly guys. I will definitely use them again!

I only used these guys based on the 10 rating and the reviews I read on this site. I am so glad I did!!!!! These guys were punctual, fast, and friendly. I have already recommended them to a friend. They made the move very smooth. They even offered to help move some furniture after they were off the clock. The price was exactly what I was quoted. Very honest company.

I can confirm that these guys are very good, quick and efficient at what they do. They arrived for the appointment 10 minutes early. The move took 6 hours, but they could have done it in 5, if I wasn't still packing when they arrived. They even took away my old fridge for recycling FOC. They were friendly and very professional.
I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

In this age of horror stories about disreputable movers,Arby's was a pleasure to use. Setting up a moving date was easy. Estimate was reasonable. They showed up on time with a full crew (and a back-up truck, if needed). The move was quick, efficient, professional and without any hassles or problems. As a group. they were helpful, courteous, and personable. Top marks.
