I was looking a reasonable contractor to replace damaged sections of Shingles on our Clubhouse roof & actually found VT Roofing from the homestars website. I decided to phone VT Roofing & Veslin came in, measured up all areas & gave me a good quote. He did most of the work himself & with being a private Golf Club, getting projects complete can be tough not to interupt members. But Veslin was so quiet, tidy, we hardly knew he was even here. I ended up having him quote more sections & giving him more work. He is willing to work around whatever requirements the customer has. I'd recommend Veslin to anyone. Does great work & recommends only what you truly need.

Veselin spent about one hour inspecting our roof, explaining what he planned to do and what it would cost. Portions of our roof are very steep, requiring appropriate safety measures for him and his helpers. He stressed the importance of protecting our property, including the garden and those of our neighbours. When work began, it was clear that Veselin was going to lay every shingle himself. He had one, two or three helpers at various times. They were engaged in removing the old shingles and cleaning up afterwards. They left everything tidy. Veselin installed drip edges, an ice barrier covering all of the shallow-pitch portions of our roof and the bottom six feet on the steeper portions. He replaced all our plastic vent covers with raccoon-proof metal ones. The new shingles look great. We would strongly recommend V.T. Roofing.

Veselin was very prompt in replying to messages, and coming out to inspect and write up a quote for reshingling my roof. I had had other quotes, with other contractors not even going up to the roof, and quoting for almost twice the price of Veselin. He made good suggestions to make the venting more efficient, and his price was very reasonable. He is knowledgeable, and his team is tidy and hard-working, taking 2 full days to neatly complete the job. I would recommend him with complete confidence. The only thing that I wanted and have not received yet, is the manufacturer's warranty for the shingles, but am convinced it will be dropped off when he's able.

Veselin was honest, fair and the work was excellent. Our roof has a very steep pitch and we have a low slope roof over the extension. Because we are a bit tight on money, Veselin broke down the project into parts so we could decide how much work we wanted to do now and maybe save some for later. He wrote up the quote for the steep roof, while we looked into other quotes. When we decided to go with Veselin we opted to do the whole project including some aluminum siding. On a verbal commitment he came in and did all the work to spec, in a timely fashion with no surprises. As per his word and expertise he included all repairs to the the roof deck in the original price and kept us apprised of any issues. He walked me through to inspect the work and the clean up was excellent.

What I appreciated most is the no-surprises quote and their commitment to follow through. Also, Veselin took complete responsibility for the work and made sure everything was to the highest quality.

Other quotes were similar in price because they were strong referrals, but while they say they would make small repairs to the roof deck as needed, the contract says it will be an extra cost. Also, I found the person calculating the cost isn't always the person who came out to look at the roof and is probably different than the person doing the work. I feel fortunate to have found V.T. Roofing and would recommend them to anyone needing work large or small.
