Quick with providing a quote. Quick with the tree fertilization job. The pruning job was delayed by 3 months. Apparently there were staffing issues. I was very frustrated that I was not told anything and had to follow-up every week. Adding to my frustration was a different receptionist when I called sometimes, so I had to explain my situation each time. My tree was turning black at the wound. When the pruning portion was finally done, it was done on the wrong part of the tree. When they came back to correct the job, it was done poorly - the wound was still collecting water. I agreed to pay only half of the quote because someone did come out to work on the tree. If you use this service, be prepared to follow-up on everything.

I seriously can NOT recommend Bartlett. I contacted them in November to assess my tree prior to the winter season. I was concerned that it may be a problem. (they actually trimmed the same tree a year prior, that is why I called them first - We dealt with David Bostock at that time and he was great, but he is not there anymore) Geoff Niblett came by November 5, 2013 and gave me an estimate of $185 to send a crew by to perform a core sample to be sure of the tree condition. I agreed and he informed me the crew would come the following Monday. The crew never showed, nor did anyone contact me to inform me of a need to reschedule. I contacted Geoff Niblett via email on November 19th, and he apologised and rescheduled the inspection for November 25th. November 25th came and went without the crew appearing; however I DID receive an Invoice for the service not yet performed. I allowed another week for them to reschedule, but on December 5th, having heard nothing from Geoff Niblett, or his inspection crew, I send Geoff my final allowance. I informed him via email that if we did not receive the Inspection, Cores and Report by December 9, 2013 we did not require Bartlett’s services any longer, and had to sure another vendor. I received no response. On December 10, 2013 I visited the offices on Ellesmere to personally inform him and get his confirmation that we no longer were in contract. I would have left it at that, but today I receive yet another Invoice ($211.83 this time) for the services we DID NOT GET DONE. Let me be clear. I asked for their assistance, they never provided the service I asked for, they invoiced me for services not provided, I informed them in no uncertain terms that due to lack of performance we did not require their service any longer. Yet they send me an invoice again. Get it together Bartlett.

The crew arrived on time, was very professional and personable. They climbed the trees using ropes, causing no damage to the trees.

They were meticulous in their work and in the cleanup.

I would heartily recommend Bartlett Tree Experts.

I needed some branches trimmed away from the house and called the same company my neighbour used. When the gentleman arrived to provide the quote, he also identified one large branch that was bound to break off if not cut back. Those two tasks combined came out to be less expensive than what we'd envisioned. They said they'd come about 2 weeks later, but it took them 3 weeks. Otherwise, all the work was done as expected.

We were referred to this company by friends when we needed a tree removed from our backyard - we got a quote and agreed to the proposal. Well, it's now over a year later and the tree is still there. They've even stopped returning phone calls. Shocking lack of professionalism - I wouldn't recommend this firm to anyone.
