Electrical work on malfunctioning lights was done very professionally. Thanks for being on time and for getting the job done right.

I am updating this review for the 3rd time as the nightmare continues. Hired for a deck staining project end of summer 2019. They cut corners, did a poor job staining, and left a mess at my house. I was upset last year with staining work but they partially reimbursed me to satisfied at that time. Summer of 2020 deck was in bad shape already, and looks like it has aged 10 years. THIG came back and re-sanded and stained areas under their warranty to correct issues which was great. Deck looks better. However now they have overcharged me without authorization for an error they made in purchasing the wrong stain due to an error on their end. They tied up a lot of my time, and tried to blame me for the error. At the end they reimbursed me for what was owed but not without several emails and discussions. They are very difficult to deal with and lack accountability, at the expense of the customer and I will never work with this company again. very unprofessional.

They created a kitchen island addition with cabinets and quartz. Very nice.

The work was professional and timely.

I have dealt with the Francine, Christine and Shauna on a number of home renovations and they are extremely professional. I'm extremely picky and they have always answered all my questions and provided me with advice. I strongly recommend the Home Improvement Group for any home renovations, you wont be disappointed. Jean-Paul (project manager) came by to see the work area, discuss options and take measurements for the estimate. THIG went through my condo management's approval process to get approval for the work. Vic and his team did the work of framing, installing drywall and doors and painting.

The end result looked pretty good, although not perfect since there are a few small gaps between the frame and trim that can be seen, but these do not detract from the overall look too much. I was happy with the competitive pricing offered for the job, although there was some confusion since the estimate did not include the cost of doors and frame, which I had to buy. The doors and frame I bought were not what they expected and this led to some late additional costs (about 10% more). Ideally, we should have discussed the materials to be bought in greater detail up front to avoid potential snags during the work.

Overall, I am happy with the work done and the time taken to do the work. It was efficient and done within 1 week. Everyone at THIG was responsive and professional throughout and they made it easy to work with them.

The Team at THIG are true professionals. My repair work required a specific skill set which the Foreman Les was able to source. All interactions with the company were prompt, professional and oriented to finding the solution that worked for us. The cost of the work was fair and transparent. I highly recommend using THIG.

Jean-Paul managed the project and he was good, but perhaps could have checked in with us more often and did a final check on the work. There was also some miscommunication with billing, however, the company was quick to apologize and admit their error.
The sub-contractor Dwayne who did the dry wall was excellent. Thorough, meticulous and very easy to work with.
We did have some issues with the electrician John. We feel he should ensure that all electrical fixtures are in good working order before signing off. Also, provide proper lightbulbs should customers not have the correct ones. The light fixtures should all be working when the job is complete. After a formal complaint, the work was completed to our satisfaction though.
I would recommend Home Improvements, just be prepared to manage the project on your own.

Renovation of laundry room, new drywall, floors, painting and a few other miscellaneous projects around the basement. Overall happy with work and professionalism from the crew, cost was a bit higher than I anticipated, but would recommend for further projects.

The team was on time and on budget for our small flooring project. Looking forward to working with them in the future.

When we called Les came to look at the bathroom, he was very professional and gave us good advice about the job we outlined for him.
The job started right on time with Aldo in charge of the crew. They always showed up on schedule and were friendly, professional and very capable.
Communication with Les, Aldo and the Home Improvement office was excellent—-I really appreciate getting responses to calls and emails promptly—
which made it so much easier and pleasant for us. I would, without any reservations, highly recommend this company to do renovation and painting work.
