We were having troubles with an old fuse panel that needed replacing. Gord was prompt, friendly, and professional and replaced the whole panel with a quick turn around time so that we were back up and running.

We wanted to transform our single car garage into an art studio for my wife and knew we would need some upgraded lighting, new outlets, and a heater for the cold months. We contacted Gord's Electric for a consultation and Scotty came out to evaluate the job for us. He provided us with some excellent recommendations and designed the lighting layout for maximum coverage and uniformity. Scotty offered several options for the LED lighting, but highly recommended the neutral tint of 4000K to ensure the lights didn't influence the appearance of the paintings. He installed a sub-panel to provide sufficient power for the heater, new 20A outlets to handle the increased load of any tools we needed, and dimmers for the studio lighting. We ended up expanding the scope of the project to include weatherproof outdoor outlets for Christmas lights. Scotty worked with our budget, timeline, and availability, and he was even happy to indulge my curiosity and explain everything while he worked. He has an outstanding attention to detail and we are beyond thrilled with the quality of his work! It was an absolute pleasure to meet and "work" with Scotty, and we will be sure to call Gord's Electric for all of our future electrical needs!

Rewiring of outdoor electrical for failed outlet. Required working in some hairy spots and coordinating a dig. Scottie was professional and punctual - came through with a great product.

We hired an electrician to install 4 new smoke detectors 2.5 years ago. The one on the main level started chirping (it wasn't a battery issue), so the manufacturer sent us a replacement, had it installed and it too started chirping less than a year later (again, not a battery issue). Concerned about what was going on, I called Gord's Electric and Scotty came by a few days later. Thank God we called him, there were some serious and dangerous wiring issues that he found and fixed. We could have lost our home, or worse!!! Scotty will be our electrician from now on!!!

Gord's Electrics came to our home to fix problems we were having with 2 different outlets. He corrected the problems with 2 visits as he needed to get a part to fix one of the outlets. Gord was friendly, professional and explained everything he did. He stated his hourly rate on the phone when we first called and sent us a detailed invoice and a choice of options to pay. I would recommend him to other households experiencing electrical problems.
