I ordered blinds in July 2015 and it's now September and I'm still waiting to have them installed. The factory schedules appointments for their installers do NOT show up without calling! This has been going for over a month now. It's truly best to pay the money for quality service and not look for deals and end up with unprofessional and unethical service like what The Blind and Shutter Outlet provides. They have cost me money and undue stress. Avoid this company...go elsewhere! I can't believe they're allowed to operate a business in Canada! The Better Business Bureau needs to know about this company.

I paid for these blinds in February and still have not had them all installed yet. I have paid all of the money and I'm missing 4 blinds that they had forgotten during their first installation. I have been back and forth on the phone with 2 women who have no idea what they are doing and never pick up the phone or return my messages. I have made 5 appointments to complete this job and they haven't shown up, or have been sick or have shown up 5 hours after they were scheduled to and I was already at work. I would NOT suggest this company to anyone. It has been the shadiest and most unprofessional customer service I've ever come across. 5 months...still missing 4 of my most important blinds! They're pricing is also unreasonable but I felt they took advantage of us being a young couple and being first time home buyers. SAVE YOURSELF A MASSIVE HASSEL AND FIND ANOTHER BLIND COMPANY!

Nov 9,2014 had shutters installed in my entire house. Between then and now I've been trying to have a clip replaced, something that would take a few seconds to do. Angelina and Diane are 2 of the most unprofessional people I have ever dealt with in all my life. They don't pick up the phone or return calls and just give you the run around when they do, obviously they failed customer service 101. I wouldn't recommend them if they were the last shutter factory on the planet. Do your homework before doing business with these people, you'll save yourself the frustration of dealing with individuals that are lacking the basic standard of brain functionality.

VERY satisfied. Our installers were great. No problems. I would and have recommended this company to my family and friends. Hopefully, as a fellow homeowner, you will be able to take advantage of this opportunity.

The management system is a mess in this company and the office is always not picking up the phone calls. They are not willing to follow anything that is listed on the contract and bad customer service skill. The lady who made the arrangement from the company side is horrible. Never met any crazy lady like her before in my life, terrible experience!

I ordered Shutters from The Blind and Shutter Outlet. I scheduled an in-home free estimate and compared to other prices quoted, this was reasonable and the cheapest so I proceeded to placing my order and paid a security deposit of $50. I was told that I would be contacted the following day to schedule my delivery. When I didn't hear from them I called and left messages which went unanswered. I finally got a hold of someone and he was completely rude and raised his voice, and even told me on the phone that "if I don't like it then cancel". so I did and I am still waiting to get my security back. This is a typical story of "you pay for what you get" It is better to pay more and get better service. I would not recommend them at all.

Fall 2012, we ordered Eclipse shutters for several windows through Nagulen. There was a mixup on our order and 1 shutter wasn't included in the original installation. After repeated and unreturned calls to rectify this, we waited over 2 months for the shutter to arrive and be installed, and the work was poor and sub-standard. I sent a photo of the shoddy job to Nag and Kamal and both promised to come and fix it over a week ago and even set up dates and times, but never came and now will not return repeated phone calls. Completely unprofessional and disrespectful of people's schedules and lives. Do yourself a favour and pay full price elsewhere. Still waiting for a response. Next step is Better Business Bureau.

I ordered shutters for my home from their sales person Nagula over 6 weeks ago. The first installer came and the shutters were the completely wrong size. A week later Nagula came himself to install them, yet again wrong size. He made an another appointment for us to have them install after they were remade. The appointment was missed with no notification, and 6 messages and 3 days later I still can't get someone on the phone to tell me what is going on. I have left messages for their salesperson as well as their company, and no one is calling back. I have had no so great contractors but at least they showed up to do the work, this company is the absolute worst. They took my deposit money and now no shutters, no calls back, nothing. UPDATE: Someone finally called me back, and another appointment was scheduled (my 4th appointment) between 11 and 1pm. At 2pm I called them and left several messages, and no call back. The next day I called again and left messages, and again no call backs. As of today, 2 MONTHS after the initial order, we have had 4 appointments, with 2 no shows with no notification, and there has been ZERO work done.

We were looking to have California shutters installed at our home for both downstairs and upstairs.

The sales rep who had come to our home for the free consultation was very nice and offered us the best choice for the best price, we even had a nice chit chat with that person.

When it came for the installation of the blinds, the installers came on the set day, and prior to the arrival, a week before, the receptionist had called us to reconfirm the appointment.

On the day of, the installers had given us a call to say that they would arrive within the next half hour. This was exactly 30 minutes before the set time frame of 11am to 3pm. So they showed up at 2:30pm exactly.

They came and installed the California shutters efficiently and on a timely manner. They were very friendly as well. However some of the shutters would not fit the frame in which the windows could be opened as it conflicted with the window handle. They said they will measure it and call us back for a set date to finish the project.

This is where the issue came into place. After receiving a call back from the receptionist at the office (labelled as The Blind Factory on the caller id), she said the installers will come to our house on Wednesday between 11am to 2pm. They did not show up at all, nor give us a call. So we called the next day as soon as they opened and she said she'll send them out again within the same time frame. They never showed up again. We then called the receptionist and informed that the installers did not call nor come to finish the job.

The receptionist then mentioned that we have to call the installers ourselves and ask them to see what time they could come, etc. At this point we were pretty unsatisfied with the service and told her that if they don't send the installers the next day i.e. Friday, then we will make noise. It got pretty inconvenient as we had to change our daily schedules and take time off from work which is pretty hectic as it is.

Eventually and finally the installers came in the morning at 8am sharp and finished the job properly.

There was still some shoddy work present, but its pretty minor.
