I originally found Yuri online and contracted him to do all of my bathrooms, including two custom showers. Yuri did a reasonably decent job on the bathroom floors and the subway tile around the showers. However, I had to rent a jackhammer and demolish two out of two showers that he installed because they were leaking and looked terrible. I now have no budget to hire anyone else to do these and am having to redo them myself.

The master bathroom shower leaked into the kitchen. I was lucky my plumber was there and caught it when it happened. Yuri used a dry pack system to install the showers and did not install the drains properly. He also did not wait for the dry pack to dry before putting the tile on top which is a big no no. He also did not waterproof the shower surrounds.

I would not recommend Yuri to anyone looking for a custom tile shower. For other work including floors and backsplash I found him to be decent, although attention to detail is a bit lacking.

We were experiencing a shower leak into our basement. The situation had been analyzed by 2 others with the indication that the whole shower had to be torn apart. Yuriy came over late in the afternoon and in less than an hour located a loose tile at the base which he then siliconed and reset. With the next morning showers no leaks, problem solved. Yuryi installed tiles in our shower, floor and wall and we are very pleased with his workmanship and expertise. He gave us a list of places where to buy good quality tiles and we found excellent imported tiles at a fraction of the cost of the big box stores. The work was done quickly, he kept everything tidy and clean up at the end of the job. We had a small leak in the shower a couple of months after the work was completed and he came the day after we called him to fix it. I would recommend Yuryi without hesitation.

Yuriy did a beautiful job tiling our home. He was very respectful of our home and displayed integrity in his work. We were very impressed with Yuri's knowledge,expertise and work ethic. It's hard to find companies you can trust, but Calgary Custom Tile Installations was both reliable and professionable, being done on time and on budget.
