This company was professional. Very nice guys, kept site clean, and you couldnt even tell they were here. Used a backhoe and dug by hand at front of the house and my garden was hardly disturbed. Grass was untouched looking. So happy! Found the problem and all fixed quickly.

We hired Durham Backhoe in May 2023 to waterproof the exterior of our house after having some water issues in the basement over the winter. We met with George for our initial walk through and quote and he was outstanding. Very knowledgeable and professional, he was honest and gave us a couple of options while educating us on the process. The crew arrived on the day we agreed, they where all so nice and very professional and skilled at the trade. The job was done in a few days. They left the job tidy and clean. George kept us updated as the process was being done and when we discovered we had no weeping tile he walked is through the additional work that was going to be needed. We felt very confident that we were in good hands. I would recommend Durham Backhoe to anyone that is looking for a professional and knowledge company. George was awesome to deal with.

George made the time to come out to my place to investigate a basement water leak between jobs. The source of the leak was improper caulking around a window - a simple inexpensive fix that can easily be done by my contractor. George did an investigation, discovered the issue and offered advice to fix it without charge. George and Durham Backhoe is the ONLY company that I will deal with for future waterleak issues. They are the absolute BEST!

With the big rains we had about 2 weeks ago, water found its way into the basement at the foot of the stairs. We have a major reno planned for the basement for the fall, so getting this problem attended to was a priority.
We had heard of Durham Backhoe from a high quality contractor and gave them a call. George made an appointment with us within the week. He and Travis showed up punctually on the day and gave us a detailed explanation and estimate of the cost.
The price, we felt, was very reasonable, and frankly, we expected it would cost quite a lot more. So we agreed to be a little flexible about the date and agreed to an open time within two weeks.
We got a call that the guys were available to do the work within a week and George, Travis and Steve showed up on time on the allotted day.
They quickly set to work, opening up the problem area and finishing the work in less than 1/2 a day. It was evident that they were a well-practiced team. Their work went smoothly and efficiently. After finishing, they vacuumed up, removed all debris and presented us a 25 year warranty with confidence.
I can now move forward with remodelling the rest of the basement without apprehensions or fears of water leakage and damage.
