Popcorn Ceiling Removal

Taylor Thanks!! We just got stucco removed from ceiling in out basement! Its look very good and ready for pot lights! And NOT only that! We add a couple of bulkheads and replaced a windows, and Taylor and team finished every thing with nice smooth covering!

We just had our entire house popcorn ceiling removal and painted by Tyler and the team of Stucco dr's and couldn’t be happier with the job they did. Tyler and his crew were clean, professional and a pleasure to have around. The extensive prep work that was done on our house and their attention to detail really shows in the final product. I have already recommended them to friends and family and will be having them come back to our home in the winter to paint the basement.

Tyler did an excellent job removing the popcorn texture from my ceilings. He covered everything and left no mess and Finished the job quickly. The work started on schedule, clean and efficient and the ceilings came out amazing.

I had bought an old Condo where the ceiling was in really bad shape. I had reached out to a few companies but when I spoke with Mustafa he offered the lowest price by far. It was also fantastic that they accepted payment at the end of the job.

For the most part my ceilings do look lovely, but I'm only giving them an 8 since it took several attempts for both Tyler and Mustafa to come in and get things right. I think a lot of the work they did was during the day and when the sun hits the ceilings, you don't see any grooves or dips that were missed - you only see them at night with the lights on so the shadows can be seen. However Mustafa and Tyler did come in a few times to ensure I was happy with the work, and they were very nice guys who worked very hard.

Overall they delivered for a very fair price, but I do encourage two things - 1) do a final review of the work in the evening with the lights on to ensure the ceilings are as flat as possible before they head out and 2) ensure that painters tape is lined at the top of all the walls (when they were painting my ceilings they left a lot of dried up paint on the top of my walls that I had to spend hours sanding down myself).

Very pleased with the work by Stucco Dr. and team! Tyler was very accommodating with the start date which was delayed due to unforeseen circumstances. Their work is top notch - ceilings are smooth and flawless - the before and after is unreal! I also got whole house painting services from them which completely transformed my home. Their attention to detail is amazing and whenever I felt like small areas required touch ups Tyler and team were more than happy to comply! They really just want you to be happy with the final product which I very much appreciated. The price quote was also extremely reasonable.

This was my first time ever getting popcorn ceilings removed and I was nervous. I needed my whole living room & master bedroom stucco removed plus painting all walls and trim. It was a big investment but Tyler and his team were great and my job turned out better than I expected!
Tyler responded to all my emails quickly and it was easy to set up on appointment for an estimate. He thoroughly explained the process and how he measured the sq footage of my job, how much it would cost and what paint he recommended. He even went to pick up the paint so I wouldn't have to transport 6 gallons by myself! A++ customer service.
His price was competitive and the results are totally worth it. I'm very happy I chose Stucco Dr and will use them again in the future! Thank you for transforming my new house into a home!

It was great working with Tyler and his crew. Everyone was so professional and friendly. The final product was amazing and everything was left very clean I look forward to working with these folks on our next project.

I hired Tyler based on his reviews on Homestars but I didn't have the same positive experience as others on this site. Tyler is a very nice person and really does try to please unfortunately his crew are amateurs. To be fair, most of my ceilings could not be removed so they had to plaster over. A tough job at best however there are numerous areas that weren't sanded very well. One area in a small hallway looks like it wasn't sanded at all. I'll end up having to hire someone else to re-sand these areas. The painters are not professionals. They got paint on some baseboard trim and didn't touch it up. The cutting in between the walls and the ceiling was sloppy. They painted around switch plates instead of removing them. I missed removing a screw and couple of plugs from the wall and they just paint over them instead of removing and plastering properly. They didn't properly sand holes that were plastered so you can see those areas under the paint. Tyler's price was much lower than others and it shows in the workmanship. He has plenty of goods reviews on this site and mine is only 1 negative review so I really don't know what to say about that. I wish that it worked out better as I would have liked to have all the other ceilings in my house done by Tyler.

We hired Tyler to remove stucco and finish the ceilings at our new house. He also helped to reinstall a light fixture at the top of our staircase, which would have been very difficult for us to reach ourselves. Our ceiling looks great, and we're happy with the quality of Tyler's work. They also did a great job keeping everything clean.

Our only complaint is with the timeline of the project. Tyler estimated five days for the job, but it stretched to more like 10. I think he has booked too many jobs so he wasn't able to show up at our house every day. After he finished, there were a couple of spots that needed patching up, which is fine, but we had to keep calling him for a few days before he came.
