We waited almost 12 months to have an exterior underground conduit fixed. Although it turned out to be on the developers side of the property and not Pacesetter's, Pacesetter knew about it and assured me it would be resolved quickly. A year is not quick. That being said, they did work with the developer to sort out the issue in the end.

We had an issue with the grading of our yard last fall and their inaction at completing it. They were using our back yard as an thoroughfare to complete other homes, yet told us the reason for the delay was actually the weather. I contacted the city surveyor who told me our yard had failed its grading inspections on two separate occasions because of construction damage by contractor vehicles. It wasn't until i filed a claim with the better business bureau and posted no trespassing signs did they grade our yard as our contract stated.

Company Response

Hi Neil,
I apologize about the delay in responding; I wanted to touch base with our service department and look into your file. From our records, we have taken care of everything we can on your property and unfortunately, this conduit issue is outside of the property line and therefore outside of the scope of what we can touch. Our team has contacted the developer on your behalf to help move things along. Unfortunately we are unable to control or have any input into the time frames of the developer and service providers.
If there are any issues that come up regarding your new home, our service department will be happy to assist you.

Horrible service!!!We've been waiting 11 months for Pacesetter to fix the underground conduit which carries all of our cable, telephone and internet lines, which was broken before we took possession. Consequently we've been forced to run the lines up a light post and tie it into our eves troughs which is a major eye sore. All we get is excuses and handed to departments that never answer your email. I understand that a new home build will have some initial issues, but if the builder doesn't fix any of them, one can get very frustrated.

Beware, once the ink is dry on your purchase, you'll never see them again.

Response to the Builder: Semantics!!!Pacesetter knew of the damage before we even took possession of the home. So how can it not be their responsibility? 11 Months later, more excuses and no action.
