When discussing insulation, most concern themselves with the walls, when in reality the attic is the "lid" of the home, and if not properly insulated it can cause drastic heat loss. In the summer the heat infiltrates and in the winter it dissipates outward as hot always goes to cold, thus making the home hotter in the summer and colder in the winter.
