My wife and I decided to have the roof done this summer. I was not looking forward to searching for a reputable roofing company - this was mainly due to some of the horror stories other homeowners have shared. I happened to mention this to my neighbour and he recommended Mark Goncalves right away. He mentioned what a great job Mark had done on his roof a couple of summers ago. I got in touch with Mark and he came over and provided a quote. The quote was in line with our expectations and we signed on. On installation day the crew arrived on time. First thing they did was to move our backyard furniture and lay down these giant tarps to protect the yard and catch the debris and plywood to protect the windows and doors. The crew was very courteous and respectful of our property. Mark was very good at providing a detailed explanation of the process and also keeping me informed as the work progressed. He answered and addressed every single one of my questions as they came up. Mark does something very interesting - he provides a video recording of the work done in time lapse photography so you can see how the whole process works. I have never heard of any other company doing that. He also sent us dozens of pictures of the project. The work was completed in the time frame that we expected. When they were done they did a great job of cleaning everything up. Roof looks great ! There is actually a line in the contract which reads "our intention is to make this experience as simple and as hassle free as possible" and that's what Mark and Skyluxe Roofing did. I would highly recommend this company to anybody looking to get a new roof. Great job, Mark !

Mark and his crew are a cut way-above! The work they did on the roof at my house and the house of my attached neighbour was top-notch and the quality of care and respect they showed for both their work and the affected area around our home is reflected in the quality of the finished product. On schedule, on budget and on time. Extremely efficient workmanship from Mark and his crew. Every day, the area was cleared of any debris and covered to protect against any overnight rain. The original home owner installed a false balcony which was unusable. It also blocked a lot of light. Mark and his team removed the balcony replacing it with a new flat roof.
Removing the false balcony totally changed the look of the house and now allows lots of light in.

First, let me state that this is not a write up or recommendation that was paid for or influenced. Skyluxe is an excellent roofing company. Skyluxe (Mark) was recommended to me by another reputable roofing business (Homestars Best) in the west end of Toronto that had no available service appointments for several weeks. With the rain that was expected and a leaky roof, I took the chance on the recommendation.
Mark contacted me through both e-mail and via phone. Within 24 hours he arrived to survey the issue at my home. His assessment of the problem area was quick, accurate and honest. Photos were provided to show and explain the problem areas. At no time did he try to upsell the repair, suggest replacing the entire roof or claim that it would be simpler to replace the roof than repair it.
Mark arrived next day as promised with the required materials to replace the problem shingles. Both he and his staff were courteous, client oriented and took the time to explain the repairs and possible reasons for the problem. The site was left clean and tidy of debris. Mark personally followed up on the repair a few days later. Something that you rarely see these days!
I have personally recommended Mark and Skyluxe to friends and neighbours. Knowing that I myself will need a replacement roof in a few years, I already have made my decision in going with Skyluxe.
