DO NOT USE PANES. THEY DO NOT STAND BY THEIR WORK. THEY DO NOT TAKE OWNERSHIP OF THEIR WORK PUTTING THE BLAME ON OTHERS FOR DAMAGES SUFFERED. THEY DID NOT INSTALL OUR BASEMENT WINDOWS PROPERLY. IT WAS NOT PROPERLY SEALED -- ONLY AIR FOAM ON THE BOTTOM AND NO CAULKING. WE SUFFERED SIGNIFICANT WATER DAMAGE FROM LEAKAGE FROM THE IMPROPERLY INSTALLED WINDOWNS AND THEY ARE NOT TAKING ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR DAMAGES SUFFERED. APPARENTLY 100% OF THE DAMAGE IS OUR FAULT. THAT IS NOT REASONABLE AT ALL. WE HAVE NEVER HAD ANY LEAKS IN OUR WINDOWS UNTIL PANES REPLACED THEM. WE PAID A SIGNIFCANT AMOUNT OF MONEY TO HAVE THESE WINDOWS REPLACED. DON'T USE PANES! SEE PICTURES BELOW OF THE IMPROPERLY INSTALLED WINDOWS. YOU WILL SEE NO CAULKING WAS PUT ON THE BOTTOM, ONLY FOAM AND THEY ARE TELLING US NO WATER WOULD ENTER HOUSE FROM THAT BAD INSTALL. NOT REASONABLE.

REBUTTAL for their response:
We did exchange several emails and they repeatedly faulted us for the leakage and they did visit the house to view the window. We did allow them to see the basement to show them no further leakage damage after the caulking installed. No solutions were offered during the visit. They continued to not accept any responsibility for the leakage. That is when we asked them to leave. They were repeating what was indicated in the emails. I consulted with 3 other contractors and all support our claim that windows with no caulking will leak. Water filled up in the space with the rocks and would normally have drained but with no caulking in the window entered the house causing the water damage. 3 different contractors confirmed this. Panes is not being very truthful. DO NOT USE PANES. Also no offer of compensation for the damage was made.

We ordered 10 windows for our house reno project. David and Eric were very helpful throughout the process, answering all the questions we had in a timely manner. Our large format mudroom window especially keeps getting complements from the neighborhood. Looking forward to working with them again for our garden suite project.

I got my new windows last week and I am so happy. I am glad that I went for 6 of them at once. I am loving my awning windows in my bedroom, (and living room), and they are creating quite the buzz on the street ! All the windows look and feel like a major upgrade. I have given your name to a lot of people and I expect that you will be getting business in the neighborhood.

I would also like to comment on your fabulous installers, and Anna, who was so pleasant and helpful. You have a great team and great product.

Out of 4 windows, one fixed window broke spontaneously after being installed. Its an expensive triple pane window, the middle pane broke with no reason or explanation. Now one of the windows that open is leaking a lot with the first rain since instalation. They were expensive triple pane windows. Very disappointing, unacceptable poor quality, no customer service. Not worth

We had Panes install 18 windows and 2 sliding doors, the whole process was great, from the initial estimate by Bill, to the communication by their office, special thanks to Julie, and the amazing installation crew of Nick and his helper.
The installers were very clean and the windows look great!
We decided to upgrade and go with black exterior, and we love it, our house now looks modern and we already got many complements from our neighbours.
I would highly recommend Panes as our experience was a great one!

Great company to deal with, easy to order, delivered on time, excellent value for money

Second time buying windows from Panes. They have a great website to order their high quality "Energy Star" rated windows. If you are not tech savvy they also have knowledgeable people available to help by chat or phone. We were thrilled to change our tired 40 year old sliding windows with these beautiful triple pane casements with an amazing "Energy Rating" over 40. This rating qualifies for the maximum Enbridge rebate offer and is not offered by most other manufacturers out there.

I think it would not be wrong to say that I stumbled onto this great company. Story started with Manny (sales person) who was amazing and so polite while answering all my questions, without him I might have went somewhere else. He saved me so much money through Panes Windows. Than the office, especially Anna, she made all the scheduling happen to suit my needs. Installation crew Nik, Alex and two helpers were true professionals, respectful -answered all my questions. And Nik explained everything about the installed windows. And also to Phil, who especially came to verify the measurements I call him the man with cool Jordans.

My parents had done a renovation of 3 windows and the service performed by Panes was below expectations.

The original quote was non-negotiable and seems like they were more concerned with the sale than the customer. Upon taking the initial deposit, they provided an initial date but calling to follow up with the receptionist, they gave a date 2 months after. Then after a detailed email, the receptionist apologized they made a mistake. Next, they overlooked booking an appointment to take measurements so my dad had called to remind them. Finally, the last straw was when the window was installed, the adhesive on the window was so strong that it didnt peel as you would expect. So they suggested using isopropyl alcohol to remove it. That didnt work. They refused to come back to fix. My dad was able to remove it on his own using a toothbrush. I would recommend the installer discuss with the customer in the future.

The quality of the windows seems to be good but after taking an initial deposit, they didnt follow through with the service.

It is a long over due project that I wanted to complete, Panes provided the great products and the best installation which was done by the master installer - Roman.
