Took a deposit and disappeared *DO NOT TRUST and DO NOT HIRE*
After a lot of back and forth with what was great communication, I signed a contract in June 2022. I wanted to support this young entrepreneur. He talked a good game and so went with him. I paid the deposit (which was large) for the delivery of material and to secure job pricing with a start date of July 18, 2022.
After a few delays, Jonny "Shingles" promised 100%" that he would do it by Aug 4th. After claiming he had COVID and pushed another 2-week delay, the job was not done. As of today... still, no material and no work done. He does not answer his phone and does not reply to texts or emails. Very unprofessional and stressful for the homeowner (ME).
He continues to give me excuses and has not delivered any material. The only time he replies is with updated Reviews. I do not trust him and the biggest mistake was is giving him a deposit. I just want my money back. He refuses to communicate.
UPDATE - Still no material delivered. Still have had no contact from this "contractor". Had to hire another roofer to do the job because I had a leak while this "contractor" has my money.
