Two washrooms (men and women's) in the basement of Carrot Common at 320 Danforth Avenue, Toronto were satisfactorily renovated by Shandyman in the month of March. Given the circumstances surrounding the pandemic we were pleased to have this work done on schedule and up to our expectations. My flat roof was many years old and in need of a replacement. I was referred by a friend to contact Shandyman. Initially I had some concerns due to the fact of an open flame being used for on my roof. I was introduced to something new which was a flameless process. Im pretty sure it was adhesive that was used instead. It is a much safer process that put me at ease. My new flat roof looks amazing. I will be contacting Shandyman again in the future.

ShandyMan contracting installed a completely faulty roof that caused over $40,000 of damage to our house caused by prolonged leaking due to the improper installation of materials and insufficient roofing techniques. Mitigation work by 3 separate roofers confirmed that the installer did not fulfill the specific roofing procedures promised to in terms of the contract he provided. The company subsequently refused to honour the 10 year guarantee of his work when approached about the damage he caused.

I needed a new roof after getting some leaking after a storm. After getting 5 quotes I selected Shandyman based on word of mouth recommendations and the reviews here. I also selected them due to the fact that they are also general contractors, so wanted to look at establishing a relationship with a contractor as there maybe a few jobs that need to be done in the next few years. They did a great job and left a clean yard. A few days after they completed the work we were hit with high winds. Although some of my neighbors lost shingles due to the storm, my new roof held up perfectly with no issues.

Plan on using them again in the future.

Shane and his team were great. He was honest, very efficient and kept us informed throughout the job providing pictures and updates. Their price quote was considerably cheaper than others. I would not hesitate in recommending Shane and his team.

Shandyman Contracting framed my basement after it had been excavated. This also included sistering all the joists in the ceiling and installing a new stairway from the ground floor to the basement. Structural work was done to facilitate the new stairways resulting in a new floor and walls for a section of the store above. This is an old occupied building and the work crew were careful.

Shandyman's crew followed the structural engineer's drawings according to plan and the City Inspector was satisfied with the work performed. The crew was excellent at working with the ground floor store owner as some of the construction work was necessary but inconvenient.

Shane and his employees were very prompt. Shane showed up on time to quote the job and was able to get his guys over the next day as it needed to be done ASAP. His guys showed up the following afternoon and were able to accomplish the job. Everything went great couldn't have been happier.
