Consumer BEWARE

I selected TORR as the contractor to install an HVAC unit in our commercial space. I met with Harman (Owner), he seemed genuine & knowledgeable, But boy was I mislead. It was recommended to install the unit inside up on the mezzanine and that this was standard practice. Date of install, Harman sent his crew, they arrived late and bounced ladders off of our walls as they all piled in through the main office door - I guess it wasn't common sense to enter through the shop? It would have made things a whole lot easier, less of a distraction for us and caused less damage to property. Once work started, we left them to it, come lunchtime staff went to the fridge to grab their belongings only to find that the fridge had been unplugged for hours and things that should have been cold were no longer and in its place was an extension cord plugged in used by TORR to plug in their power tools, that cord wrapped around the door of the fridge and kept the door ajar so what was cold was getting warmer. (What boggles my mind is, if you were looking for power, why wouldnt you have just used the outlet that was empty literally 2ft closer to the mezzanine on its own circuit OR ask us which plug would work best) Fast forward to the completion of the install (This took over a week of coming and goingIve seen buildings erected in less time than it took TORR to install this HVAC). Harman came back in, told me his crew was done, reviewed how things worked reminds me about payment and left. I kept the heat on in the office and continue working a few hours, (This is on a Saturday, no staff in) when I was getting ready to call it a day, I head into the shop to lock up when I open the door I was hit with freezing cold air. I went to both the units, and they were blowing warm air but when I looked up to the HVAC unit on the mezzanine, it was literally frozen. I climbed up the ladder to find that the unit exhaust was blowing more cold air than any warm air that the wall mounted units were producing. I immediately called HarmanNo answer, I sent him and email, he replies Hi Jenn, Then the best option is to install the unit on the roof of your building. We can get this done pretty quick. This week is fully booked, but we could possibly come in on Saturday March 18 and aim to be done by the evening. Let me know if this sounds good to you. Regarding the cover, its been ordered and well replace it once it comes in. The best option would be to install the unit on the roof? Then why didnt you say that on day 1? So here we are waiting AGAIN, I call Harman to confirm install and that he called for the permit, Harman replied Ya, we are all set for Saturday and have everything we need to get it done, I have made all the arrangements for the crane truck, the roofer and my own electrician will do the wiring GREAT! (WRONG yet again)
No permit was ever pulled-Our electrician who had to fix the electrical work that TORRs guy (After TORR ghosted us and avoided our phone calls, emails and text messages) made the following statements: Dry connectors were used The strands of the copper wire were cut due to incorrectly stripping insulation The strands of the aluminum conductors were cut due to the incorrect stripping of insulations No penetrox was used on aluminum wires No proper ground done just wrapped the copper wire around aluminum ground The plastic on the connectors was already starting to melt which is a fire hazard and you can see the broken piece of the aluminum conductor inside. The damaged covers have still to this day have never been provided. Attached photos of the hack job speak for themselves. Do not get fooled like I did, stay far away from this outfit, zero integrity, workmanship is shoddy and who ever certified this company needs to take a better look at who it is that they are backing.
