Goodridge Contracting

We unexpectedly had to dig up 75% of our basement floor concrete to deal with an issue in the soil under our house. Once that was resolved, we needed to have it rebuilt. Since it was already in a state of deconstruction, we decided to make a few changes while putting it back together.

Matthew and his team were brilliant to work with. Over the thirty years we have lived in this house, we have had a major renovation/addition and several smaller ones. This was, by far, the most stress-free reno we have ever endured.

Matthew was the most communicative, responsive, respectful and kind contractor we have ever had the pleasure of working with. His team were all highly skilled and also respectful and nice to have around. My husband and I do not hesitate in highly recommending Goodridge Contracting.

The project consisted of a complete renovation of a three piece bathroom - with heated flooring, a two piece powder room, removal of popcorn ceiling, installation of LVP flooring, installation of solid oak staircase, a laundry room conversion - with cabinets and a quartz counter-top and marble flooring, which extended into the entry way, installation of a new linear tile fireplace. Painting of all levels of townhome, as well as a kitchen refresh - new backsplash, installation of pot filler, new light fixtures, a new drawer microwave, new drapes, and cabinet handles, a new sink and faucet.

Matt was professional throughout the project, he took the time to explain what needed to be done, and offered many suggestions. The sub-contractors that he brought in were very skilled, and I was happy with the results.

I would definitely recommend Goodridge Contracting, and plan to use them in the future.

Matt and his team are excellent! We hired them through a recommendation when a previous contractor bailed on us for a condo bathroom reno. This was our first major reno -- we were replacing the tub with a walkin shower. Matt provided a reasonable quote and schedule for payment. He is honest, straightforward, and communicative. He and his team were patient as well as creative in problem solving issues that arose in a rather old condo. In the end, they did a stellar job. We are very happy with the outcome. As with everything, things take longer than anticipated, but it all worked out wonderfully.

Long overdue review, but Matt and his team did a fantastic job with my condo bathroom and kitchen reno. I was particularly impressed with how quickly everything happened. There were small hiccups along the way, but the communication was always open and everything was resolved smoothly and in a timely manner. I appreciated this the most, as trust and transparency is important to me.

We bought our home a couple years ago and the ceiling was unfinished. Recently we decided the time was now to soundproof and drywall. The finished product we are extremely happy with and have had numerous compliments from friends and family members in the days since. Extra doors, electrical and other small jobs also included. Responsive when communicating and excellent clean up as well. Will use again in the future!

A few months ago, my wife and I bought a house that Matt had renovated for the previous owner. This detail is important as I explain what followed.

Prior to closing, Matt offered to give us a tour of the house and answer any questions we had about the specifics of the renovation. At the time, we thought this was a kind, one-off gesture rather than one of Matt's core company values. Then, a few days after moving in, we discovered a small leak in one of the showers. We decided to contact Matt first, with the understanding that we werent his clients, and that he didnt technically owe us a response.

To our delight, Matt took the call and quickly identified the problem. He gave us two options:

a) A simple fix that would stop the leak but might require more attention in a few years

b) A overkill option that would fix the leak and be much nicer than the previous owner had requested but would entail replacing the shower floor and curb

Matt generously offered to cover the demolition and cost of new materials if we agreed to pay the hourly rate of his tiler. This seemed more than fair so we decided on the more involved option.

A few days later, not only is the leak fixed, but we have a beautiful shower that looks and feels nicer than when we bought the house. Needless to say, we couldnt be happier with the result and will definitely be working with Matt and his team again.
