We had sought blind options for our condo for months. We have northern, southern and western exposures as well as privacy issues with other buildings we had to consider. We had hesitated in making a decision due to the high costs we had been quoted by other companies. Dani came to our home and did a full in-home estimate, armed with samples of blind types. He gave us good advice without once being pushy about making a sale. Within a couple days, he had a technician (Colin) out to measure and verify installation details with us. When it was time to put the blinds in, the Condo Blinds team worked clean, were very thoughtful, and did a wonderful job. The blinds look great, work great, and we couldn't be happier with them. If you are considering blinds for your condo, be sure and talk to Dani. You'll be glad you did.

If you are having blinds installed, be sure to do any window, sill or casing repairs and painting ahead of time.

Manuel from Java electric hung two chandeliers in our condo a couple weeks ago, updated our light switch to a fader, and took care of a troublesome socket. He and his assistant took their time to carefully locate both chandeliers exactly where I wanted them before setting concrete anchors and wiring the fixtures in. Despite some issues that added time to the project, they did not exceed the original estimate. When, a few days later, one of the switches that was associated with the work they did (but NOT ACTUALLY PART OF THE WORK THEY DID) failed, Manuel was back the following day to get it working - living up to his guarantee that "if something goes wrong, I'll fix it." He didn't ask for any additional fees for this. I am happy to have found an electrician in Toronto that takes pride in his work, and that keeps his word. I would highly recommend Manuel from Java Electric for any electrical project you have. Both he and his assistant worked clean and safely and took their time to do a first-class job.

We had to replace the floors in our condo due to a water leak and were told about The Floor Shop from a friend. Allen, Andrew and the entire crew couldn't have been more helpful and professional from start to finish. Allen patiently helped us understand our options and the pros and cons of the materials we were considering. As the sales lead, he never pressured us, or made us feel any question or concern was too trivial to be addressed. Andrew coordinated the install with their long-time crew and the tear-out, disposal, materials delivery and installation went down in short order. The crew worked very clean and their craftsmanship on the many difficult angles of our floor was superior. They took care to not only do the work contracted, but to go the extra step in fit and finish. The difference in the quality from our previous floor is very noticeable. I would highly recommend The Floor Shop for your next flooring project. Their selection, prices and quality of service are all excellent! Thanks, Floor Shop!

When getting a bid, be sure that every aspect of the work is included, and beware using a company that has multiple subcontractors doing different aspects of the work. With The Floor Shop, ONE crew saw to all our project's needs.

We were having the floors replaced in our condo and had to pack out a number of rooms in order the the contractor to be able to work. That meant basically everything except large furniture had to be boxed up. Our options? 1. Buy a bunch of moving boxes; 2. Find enough free boxes at the grocery store for our things or; 3. Rent the boxes we needed from City Boxes. We went with City Boxes. Their system of crates was simple to use. The sturdy plastic crates were the perfect size for most all of our possessions. The crates are stackable too, which allowed us to fill the two rooms that weren't involved in the project efficiently. We rented both boxes and wardrobes and they all worked great. Delivery and pick up are free and Andrew was a pleasure to work with. The crates were clean, and he even set the collapsible wardrobes up for us. We love City Boxes because they are a no-hassle, economical and green way to cope with one of the biggest headaches in the moving process. For less than $100, we were able to get to the business of packing. Believe me, I've moved enough times to tell you what a great difference it made to not be struggling with cardboard boxes that crush or deform when you stack them, and then having to break them down after we're done to usually just send to the recycler. We will never buy moving boxes again. The City Boxes system has already anticipated everything you need to move your home or apartment, from boxes to wardrobes, dollys and packing supplies. If you are moving, you will thank your self for choosing City Boxes. They provide fantastic customer service and value for your moving dollar.
