Home delight is a contemporary furniture store in Richmond (and Coquitlam). I've purchased my dining table, chairs, and mirror from them. The prices are really reasonable and they are usually rip offs of high end furniture designs. You do get for what you pay for so the quality is mediocre at best. The mirror I bought had numerous small cracks in them, which isn't too visible from a few steps away, but costs 50% less than the same one at a furniture store near Granville and 6th Ave. Delivery has been good and I haven't encountered any issues with it. Overall, highly recommended if you are into contemporary furniture but don't want to spend the price for high end stuff. The trends move so quickly in designs so by the time the furniture breaks, you could furnish your place again with something more in trend (and still probably end up paying less in total than a set of European furniture).

I've been a customer of Trail Appliances for over three years now and they are the first place I go to when I need a major appliance. I've found the sales person generally very helpful. Some can be a bit "forced sale", especially towards higher profit margin items (i.e. appliances specially made for Trail). But once I found the right sales person (originally Coy, who subsequently left the company, and now Catherine), I always make my purchase on the spot. I've found their prices, especially during boxing day, to be unmatched. And even when other retailers have lower prices, I'd get better prices by simply asking for it. The service has always been impressive. On the delivery side, I've never had any issue with them scratching the hard wood floor or damaging my walls. My washer and dryer pair ended up barely fitting into the storage closet and I don't know how the delivery person managed to push it in... but I was so impressed with them that when I told my mom about it, she ended up buying the same thing from Trail. The only problem I have is the dishwasher that I purchased this month (Nov 2012) was charged about $160 in delivery and installation and I think they used to do this in house and costed only around $70. Something to take into account when making your purchase as it adds to your final cost. Overall, I highly recommend the company as the go to place for major appliances.

I hired Sean based on the reviews on Yelp and this site. He was very friendly and courteous when I called to inquire about his service and whether I would need a inspection for a condo. There was never pressure from him to hire for his service and I felt very comfortable during the first conversation. Due to the quick subject removal requirement on the property, Sean was able to make the time to perform the inspection within two days. Sean showed up on time and was very informative about what he was doing each step of the way. Unlike the inspector I hired perviously, Sean kept me engaged about what is necessary to maintain the upkeep of the place and other useful info to keep everything up to safety standard. I felt really bad because the property is in downtown and Sean parked his car on the street, which ended up running past the meter time. Luckily he did not get a ticket. But he showed real integrity and professionalism by not rushing through the job at any point in time. Following the inspection, I had some doubts about the Engineer's summary for the property due to the jargons used and I phoned up Sean for help. He went out of his way to phone me back within two hours to explain all the terms and offered to assist me with more support, if I needed it. I really appreciated Sean's service and would highly recommend him as a home inspector. :) Raymond
