Quoted to repair furnace. Quote was fair had the work been required. But the work was not required. Appleby systems tech informed us a serious component needed to be replaced when in fact it did not. The tech then tried to sell us a new furnace. I would definitely think twice before using appleby.
Although fast and reliable Boonstra Burlington did not hold up to the standards I have seen in the past. Standard service call/tune-up turned into an expensive quote. Had 2 other companies quote and of course all were completely different. Asked Boonstra to come verify original quote and they would not come unless paid again and they would not stand up to the guarantee they offer. Find somebody else.

I’m sorry that you did not find the last service call to be up to the standards you had received from us in the past. We train our technicians to perform a thorough preventative maintenance on furnaces and air conditioners and to bring to the customer’s attention any areas that may need addressing in order to bring the equipment to a like new rejuvenated condition. Although some companies may consider certain items that may need to be corrected to be unimportant, we feel the decision should be left up to the homeowners.
