Jan 2021 Update: I called on Pristine again when I needed my new refrigerator's water line hooked up, the toilet flange fixed and a leaky laundry tub faucet replaced. Andrew came by at the appointment time, did an assessment of all the requested work, and found some of my shutoff valves also needed to be replaced. He gave me an estimate, outlined the work, left to pick up the required parts and returned quickly to start the repairs. Andrew was very friendly and thoughtfully took the time to describe his work. He picked up a taller wax ring for the toilet because he noticed the higher clearance of the newer toilet I had installed last year. Also, he picked up a new faucet with blade handles because I had mentioned my elderly mother had problems turning off the old faucet and felt this would be easier for her to use (which is it). Great service again! I am definitely calling Pristine again for any plumbing issues! Oct 2020: I spoke with Daniel on the phone about my hot water tank replacement. He was friendly and patient as we went over various options. He sent me an estimate and after a few emails we scheduled the job. Daniel and his colleague arrived masked and on time. They explained what the job would entail, asked if I had any questions, and then got started. I appreciated that they laid down cardboard on the floor to keep things as clean as possible. When they finished the installation, Daniel showed me how to operate the unit and how to drain the tank, if necessary. He asked if I had any other plumbing issues, big or small, that I wanted him to take a look at before they left which I appreciated. Luckily, I had nothing to report. They were professional, polite friendly and just easy to deal with! I will definitely call them again if I have any plumbing issues.

UPDATE: I had called in 2018 to ask why the system was constantly rebooting. They said they needed to charge a service fee for coming out which I agreed to, but then said it wasn't worth it for ME to pay the charge. It's like they didn't want to come out. Anyway, I dropped it. In 2019 I had an electrician install some GFCI outlets and the alarm went wonky while he was here. He told me it was likely a faulty window sensor, bypassed the one he thought might be problematic, and I haven't had a problem since. So much of SG3's follow-up service. My older home alarm got fried after a blackout in December and had been long past its warranty period. After calling a few alarm installation places for estimates I decided to go with SG3. George was friendly and very helpful in helping me choose a replacement unit and discussed different panel and zoning options. George and Brody arrived as scheduled and had the unit installed and wired to existing sensors in about 1.5 hours. He showed me how to operate the main and secondary panels and made sure I knew how to bypass sensors and reprogram the master alarm codes (just the process of reprogramming the codes, to be clear) before leaving. He assured me that I could call him anytime if I had any questions. Both George and Brody were very professional and efficient. I would recommend them for your home security needs!

I contacted All Clear by email and asked them to provide me an estimate for cleaning the gutters and windows of my house and garage, as well as cleaning off the moss and debris on my roofs. They came by the very next day, did an estimate and slipped it through my mailbox. Later that night, Tanis called me and asked if I had received the estimate, which I did, and wanted to know if she could book me in. Now that's proactive! They had a cancellation the very next day, so I took it. - One of their cleaners arrived the next day and spent a good few hours cleaning the gutters and windows. I got home just as he was packing up. The windows were spotless, the gutters were very clean, and the moss and sticks that birds left on our roofs were gone. There wasn't a drop of gutter gunk anywhere on the walls or cement! He put all of the debris in our yard debris bin. He handed me the invoice, thanked me for the business, and drove off. - A few days later, they called me to ask if I was satisfied with the job and wanted to know if they could call me in a few months to see if I needed cleaning again. I love a company that provides good, proactive customer service. - All Clear did an excellent job! It's rare to get good service nowadays, let alone great service! I would not hesitate recommending them to anyone needing their gutters and windows cleaned!

Don Q. is the owner of Promax Painting. He happily came by on May 27, 2010 to do the estimate, he said would come by on Monday, May 31, 2010 to fill and repair the walls and then come by with a team of 3 people on Tuesday, June 1, 2010, to sand, prime and paint the walls. He asked that we leave a vacuum cleaner behind for them so that they could completely clean up afterward. He said it would take 3 people about 8-10 hours to do a complete job from sanding, priming, painting two coats, and cleaning up. I pointed out some baseboard trim that was broken and asked if he could fix it. He said that he would have his carpenter brother come and do the finishing before painting it. - Problems: - 1. After sanding the repair filler from the walls, Don made no effort to clean before painting. This left fine powder on all of the walls and surfaces and it is evident in the final paint job quality. You can see blotches and imperfections on the walls along with areas of paint build-up. - 2. He represented he would have a team of 3 people come and do the work as well as clean up. This was part of the reason his company got the job instead of others who estimated. However, he alone showed up on Tuesday to paint and gave the excuse that his other workers were stuck at another job. - 3. He damaged my ceiling at the bottom of the stairs by first painting on it by mistake and then trying to cover it up with drywall filler. This was completely unprofessional and although he tried to fix it, it has left my ceiling looking unacceptable. - 4. He told me that after painting the walls and trim, he would put a fine caulk line on the top of the trim. This was never done. - 5. He did not clean afterward. There was dust everywhere. He made no effort to cover any of the furniture nor did he ask us to do so. This left dust on all of the furniture, TV, toys, etc. in the area. If 3 people had actually come to do the job, I think this might have been done. He was supposed to come back on Friday, June 4, 2010 to clean up and do some repairs but did not. We ended up wasting two days waiting for him and then spending two days shampooing the carpets and dusting and vacuuming everything ourselves. - 6. I emailed Don on Thursday, June 3, 2010, confirming he would return on Friday, June 4, 2010 to fix the problems and clean up, and he confirmed. However, he did not show up and did not call. I finally reached him on his mobile phone and he claimed his truck broke down and that he would come by on Monday, June 7, 2010 to do the work. He did not show up on Monday nor did he call me. I finally reached him on Tuesday, June 9, 2010, and he said you would come by on Friday, June 12, 2010. On that Friday, he did not show up, but we did speak and he said he would be by on Monday, June 14, 2010, to finish the imperfections and replace and paint the trim. - 7. On June 14, 2010, Don came to the house by himself to finish the imperfections and brought along a piece of matching, unfinished trim. He reiterated that he was not a carpenter and asked if I could help him install the trim! When I declined, he said he would be more comfortable to have his carpenter brother come by with him on Friday, June 18, 2010, between 8:30-9:30AM to finish the trim. He never did. I finally managed to reach him on his mobile phone that afternoon and he said he was stuck at Whistler but assured me he would return on Monday, June 21, 2010 in the morning with the finishing carpenter to do the work. - 8. On Monday, June 21, 2010, neither Don nor his "brother" showed up, nor did he answer or return any of my phone calls. So, even after assuring me on Friday that he would take care of things, he obviously had no intention of calling me ever again. - He has since not answered or returned any of my calls. He is now just avoiding me. - I took time off work to meet with this guy over and over only to have him not show up. He didn't even have the courtesy to call me. He cost me hundreds of dollars in time and wages. - FOLLOW UP - June 29, 2010: Don Q. sent me a text message today showing his true colors - "You are what u are a tipicle import trying to get work for free take a hike you get nothin from me ever"
