My old love seat had good bones so I consulted with Lisa Jo regarding upholstery. I chose the fabric and she and I discussed the style of refashioned back cushions and density of the foam to be used. She and her team expertly carried out the upholstery and the result is wonderful. There was a glitch waiting for fabric for some of the pillows to arrive but otherwise the whole process was pretty quick and delivery fast. Overall I found the cost escalated from original quote, dependent in part by the fabrics selected. The end result was very good: the love seat is beautiful with detail paid to construction and styling. I wouldn't do it again due to the price but I did get the final look I wanted.

I generally enjoy shopping at Pier One. Recently however I was shopping for a large area carpet and was completely put off from ever purchasing a large carpet from Pier One. I saw something I really liked at the Laird Ave/Eglinton store and asked the sales person if I could see it in daylight (it was hung back in the store) so I could see the colours clearly. She refused outright to consider my request and further, when I asked about their returns policy was told I would be charged $70 for delivery of the carpet and a further $70 if I returned it. Since I have a small car I can't transport a 9X12 carpet myself. Buyer beware!

This smart and reputable mason came to my rescue as a friend of a friend. My older home needed the corner of the main floor brick outside wall repaired and partially reconstructed. He was efficient, kept to his quote, and did beautiful work. I would use him again if I ever need brick work done. His work was so good that the engineer who inspected my home afterward asked for his name and number so he could hire him. Highly recommended.

I bought a new mattress at the new Linen Chest on Laird Ave in Toronto in fall 2013. The original mattress, bought for a good price on sale, was not comfortable and gave me back aches. The district manager to the problem in hand and although it took about a month to get resolved, I was able to have the mattresses switched out for a TemperPedic that is wonderful for the same price (as the TemperPedics when on sale by then). The store manager wasn't much help but the district manager came to my rescue. I find Linen Chest generally overpriced and perhaps it was my oversight but the salesperson who sold me the original mattress was not that forthcoming with what to do if I was unhappy with my purchase.

My 1920s brick house required a new outside corner rebuilt. Clint took his time to examine the problem, explain what was going on with my house, promptly provided a good mid range quote, and set up a work date. His work was so good the structural engineer who verified the work for my mortgage company hired him to do work for his company. If I ever need brick repairs, this is the guy I am hiring. I would highly recommend him.

It was time for my 30 year old York furnace to be replaced. Among the four quotes I received, Boris from Cozy World was one of the most reasonable, exceedingly helpful and easiest to book. Within a week of confirming the order, and in less than the estimated time to complete the installation, my new Goodman furnace was working. Later that same day, Boris filed my cool saving rebate. I'd recommend Cozy World to anyone looking for a new heating and air conditioning system.
