We have two furnaces and we could hear a loud whine from the vents. Called Air Central for service. The draft inducer motors on both furnaces were failing. The technician replaced both motors and he noticed that the condensation collection tank was leaking in one. He replaced the tank in both and did a general service on both furnaces. We had purchase an extended warranty on the high efficiency furnaces when we had them installed in 2011. Cheap investment which paid for itself. We happened to have a general contractor on site doing renos in our baster bathroom. He was very impressed by the service provided by Air Central and he has done furnace installs himself. He said he has seen draft inducer motors fail after only one year.

We ordered a vanity cabinet in May 2017. Due to delays getting a contractor, we were not ready for installation until Feb 2018. Westridge service coordinator said because our order was small she would see if the warehouse could store our cabinets until we were ready. Westridge was accommodating of our situation. Very nice of them. We finally got our contractor going in January 2018. We paid in full for the vanity in Feb 2018 and asked for delivery Feb 7. Service coordinator confirmed delivery for Feb. 7. We waited all day, and no cabinets were delivered. We and the contractor tried contacting the service coordinator throughout the day to find out when the delivery was coming and no reply. In the following days, we contacted the service coordinator and the business manager in Edmonton almost every day and no reply. I dropped by the Westridge Edmonton location in person on Feb 9 and met with the business manager and she apologized. She said the warehouse did not ship the cabinets and did not inform them. As far as they knew, the cabinets had been shipped. This points to a flaw in the internal communications between the Westridge warehouse and their Edmonton office - seems to me that there should be some process to verify orders, shipments, and deliveries. As of Feb 14, the day I am writing this review, still no cabinets and still no communications. No courtesy phone call, text, or email to let us know there has been a delay, the cause of the delay, or an expected new date of delivery. We have no information on when we can expect our cabinet. Due to delays on our end, we can understand if our cabinets got tucked away in some corner at Westridge's Red Deer warehouse and perhaps are difficult to find. What would be nice is some communications to let us know. I looked at a few other reviews, and I notice that other customers have concerns with communications. There appear to be some serious shortcomings in post sale coordination and pre-delivery communications and my advice to Westridge senior management is this is an area you need to address. Poor customer communications will eventually hamper the growth and continued success of your company. I will note that we went with Westridge for our master ensuite vanity cabinet because we had a great experience with them on our kitchen cabinets. Our kitchen cabinets are great quality and we had on-time delivery and flawless installation. We wanted to support an Alberta company. Our experience on the vanity cabinet has not been as satisfactory. I am hoping by writing this review that someone in Westridge will notice and get back to us because email and phone calls don't seem to be working. Update Feb 20, 2018 - still no sign of vanity cabinet. Update Mar 16, 2018 - still waiting for cabinets. Left voice mail. No response. Updated rating from 2/10 to 0/10. They will have to show us some exceptional service in the future for me to update the rating to something better. Update Mar 21, 2018 - cabinets finally arrived! Yay! Disappointed to find out they have stain problems on four out of five drawer fronts and they built the middle tower cabinet wrong. Who builds a drawer cabinet as two separate pieces and then expects to fix it by adding two more gables to it?

Aug 22, 2016. My mom's house in the Government Road area of Burnaby had a water leak in the supply line. Tree roots from a big tree in front of house the likely cause of a crack in the copper line which was causing a never ending puddle of water on the driveway. The scheduled start time was 8:30 and the crew showed up a bit after 8:00. The technology used by Drain Masters uses a hydraulic jack to remove old copper pipe and jack in a flexible plastic pipe at the same time. This allowed mom to keep the troublesome but beautiful tree and no breaking of the concrete in front of the house was required. Other company had quoted $7000 to do the job using a dig and fill method requiring breaking up of the concrete and removal of the tree. My 96 year old mom is very happy with the final result. Drain Masters crew, Luis and David, did a great job.

This is a review for All Weather Windows Renovations Edmonton (not Calgary). I found mold and rotting wood under living room window when I pulled up my living room carpet during home reno (I was preparing to install hardwood flooring). When I found mold on the subfloor I removed the drywall under the window and I found mold and wood rot in the wall supporting the window. I spoke to our neighbours who said the previous owner had previously replaced the window. I knew there were some major problems and I needed to get this fixed right. I called Tim Wong, sales rep, with All Weather Windows because he had given us great service before. He came to our home only a day or two after we called, provided us some advice and very helpful design ideas. Based on service and past good experience with AWWR, we decided to make the order . Replacement windows were delivered in about a month after the order (don't remember exactly how long). Dan and his install team were on-site for a day. They were very careful and meticulous with their work. Dan and his crew are mostly from the maritimes - remind me of folks from my home province of Saskatchewan. Hard working, friendly, and you can tell they take pride in their work. The exterior and interior quality of workmanship are excellent. The window units themselves are great. Wife and I are very happy with the final product. It has been a major update to the look of our home.

Found Dave on edmonton.kijiji.ca. He was one of 3 companies I called for estimates. Dave was very friendly and managed to install a gas line for our BBQ without making any holes in our finished basement ceiling (others said they would have to cut two holes in the ceiling). He provides great service. The city inspector did not pass the BBQ gas line install because I had to outlets installed. One for an outdoor heater and one for the BBQ. Since I did not have the heater yet, the inspector could not tell if the supply was adequate.

Any advice to offer fellow homeowners facing a similar project?
Always get more than one estimate and always get it in writing or in an email. Confirm any changes in an email.

I found Air Central on Kijiji. They were one of 4 companies that I contacted for estimates to replace two old furnaces with high efficiency furnaces. I found Tim Kolm who is the owner and did the estimate to be very personable and explained the installation process very well. His price was very fair. Installation was done by John and Jason and they were very good as well. I spotted a couple of problems with the install and John fixed them immediately. Pride in workmanship was very evident. Update - city inspector came by on Dec 19. He was impressed by the installation and said the quality of work was very good.

What could this company do to improve their services?
Not much -- I thought they were great.
Any advice to offer fellow homeowners facing a similar project?
Do your research on-line before installation so when you are getting estimates you know what questions to ask.

Bought a new house recently. Just getting the carpets cleaned right now as I type this. Friendly, excellent cleaning job, reasonable price (especially with the coupons that seem to come every week in the mail). Tried removing stains with a Bissell carpet cleaner I borrowed from my brother-in-law and it just did not cut it. The professional cleaner removed stains that I could not touch. Decided to fork over the dough to get things really clean before the furniture is moved in. The price includes $100 for Scotchguard. Checked the price to do Scotchquard myself and price was about the same and most on-line reviews indicate professional application is the way to go.
