Thanks, Shelli and Wolf for squeezing us in. We had missed getting balusters, not spindles ;-)... installed with our deck stair railings along with our two decks a couple of years ago. Realizing the safety hazard, called Shelli back to see if we could remedy the situation. Despite being relatively booked, squeezed us in between jobs, on a Saturday no less! Within hours, all done and you'd never know they were missed the first time! Also great advice on deck maintenance and saved us money on a potential electrical project that Wolf advised a cheaper option for. A pleasure to work with! Thanks so much!

So relieved that Kevin replied to our HomeStars search. We did not have a glamorous job to get done, only odd repairs to stone steps, retaining wall, tree pruning and a stump removal. He was so kind to quote on it and through his changing schedule and approaching winter temperatures, he was considerate enough to keep in touch and worked at fitting in our job, leaving the place cleaner than he found it. I would call on him again without question and highly recommend him and his team. Thanks again, Kevin!

From store folks, online folks and delivery folks, all very helpful and knowledgeable. Only wish there was a bit more help with installing the stove. We purchased a pretty heavy one and reaching the feet to level it is proving to be difficult! I would suggest offering just a bit more help in that department when it comes to the delivery of large appliances. Other than that, 5 stars! We also had a fridge delivered at another location, the delivery folks were kind enough to move our old fridge to the garage and bring in a second-hand stove for us that we were trying to move. They were so quick compared to how long it would have taken us to do. Great all round.

We had Kevin come in and measure various parts of our home for renovation work to look forward to in piecemeal as we can afford it. We started with our bathroom which was not only efficiently pulled apart and put back together again beautifully but also with meticulous detail that we were quick to have him back to tackle our kitchen/main floor demo. Kevin has detail-oriented craftsmen and women working for him no matter what part of the job, whether construction, plumbing, electrical or painting, his team were always courteous and as inconspicuous as the job allowed. If he couldn't get a fair price on our behalf for a part of the job, he would do it himself to ensure it get done and within our budget. We are looking forward to another project to put in Kevin's capable hands.

I posted a request on Homestars to find local contractors. Despite being busy, Shelli responded within hours and she and Greg made time to visit and review the site days afterwards. While onsite they reviewed the project while on the phone with me. I knew the existing decks seemed solid enough to retain the footings but while another contractor (recommended by a neighbour) insisted all needed to be demolished and restored from scratch, it was comforting to hear from Greg and Shelli that for a fraction of the price of the other fellow, we could have safe decks without needlessly rebuilding all of it. It is a simple cottage and we did not have a big budget. Thanks to Greg's and Shelli's honesty, we were able to get new decks, replacing, unsafe ones, all before the July long weekend! Not only was Greg fast and efficient, but he also created gorgeous decks that are wonderfully safe and sturdy! Being a cottage, we were not able to be there while Greg worked, to watch the progress but we felt as though we didn't miss a beat because Shelli was kind enough to send progress photos each evening! What a treat getting those photos! So easy to deal with, and in constant contact via text, phone or email. Shelli is clearly a big fan of Greg's work, she promised Greg was a speedy, detailed-oriented worker and she was right. It was a pleasure meeting them both, it gives me hope that I have found such an honest, hardworking duo for potential future projects. Thanks again, Shelli & Greg!

We found C-Star on Homestars. They were one of two companies that responded to my search for local roofers. It was hard to choose between them because they both quoted the exact same price, which is actually a reflection of how good Homestars is for finding honest people! We practically did a coin toss to choose C-Star. Despite not being able to be there while the work took place Sing was good enough to photograph the process to show the damage under the old shingles, the full coverage of felt paper, the addition of vents and additionally a wall that needed siding applied as well. We went to see the place the following weekend, the work was completed in one day, property left free of debris, even cleaned up garbage that was redistributed by raccoons. Thorough, professional and efficient. Easiest reno process that I have ever experienced. Thank you very much to Kenny who initially responded and connected me with Sing, and to Sing and his team. Job very well done.

Oleg was efficient in every way. He let us know approximately when he would come and did so within the time frame promised. He assessed the issue and gave us the rundown of what things could cost. We chose to not proceed as it wasn't worth it due to the age of the machine among other things. We only paid for the visit but got so much more. Great advice on maintenance and appliance brands from his perspective. So very knowledgeable for such a young man.
