I needed a new fixture for the bathroom and the first place I thought about was the Canadian Tire. I have of course bought fixtures elsewhere but this particular Canadian Tire is a favourite because of the great customer service. The staff are always easy to locate in the store and they are always willing to help you. Got the tap at a reasonable cost and finished the job at hand.
I was looking for a display case for my wife's brass and crystal collections. I had searched around and found cases that sort of were what I was looking for. A friend suggested I check out Eddies - I was surprised that they had such a selection - I know they generally deal with retail stores but I found exactly what I was looking for in a Maple wood finish - looks great in the livingroom.
I've dealt with Midland Liquidators for years - have always found their prices fair and I usually can find what I'm looking for. The only thing is sometimes you can't get the exact piece of hardware I'm searching for this I think because they are a liquidator but overall great place to shop.

I buy a lot of paint when doing different projects around the house. I had to get something quick and decided to go to the store in New Westminster. I wish I had a different choice. The clerks don't seem to know much and appear to be slow and uninterested in the customers. Mind you it was a Sunday but it was a good thing I new the exact mix of colours to get the shade I needed to finish the job I had started. Considering the cost of paint these days I would recommend you steer clear on the New West store, at least on Sundays.
This place is great for finding unique kitchen gadgets. I've been in this store countless times buying garlic presses, ceramic knives for my wife who enjoys cooking. The best purchase was a garlic keeper. I went in and asked the clerk for something someone would love for the kitchen. It sounded perfect when she pulled this out first. When I realized it would solve a problem my wife has with the garlic in the fridge - I was sold. I will continue to shop here for interesting things for my wife.
I found this company through one of the daily deal sites. Although the prices cannot be beat I found trying to actually obtain the purchased dvd players was difficult and time consuming. The hours are limited and I made the mistake of not calling before arriving at the store. Two times I went to pick my purchase up - both times they were sold out. However, the one clerk there was great - she took my info and assured me that the next shipment she would have one put on hold for me. Thought was the end of it until I got home - the remote was missing. Back to the store again. I didn't have any problems getting the missing remote and they even threw in a HMDI cord for my trouble. All and all the experience was daunting but acceptable for the deeply discounted prices.
When we bought our new house we decided after 20 years plus that we could get new furniture to update the look. We didn't have a huge budget and there were a few pieces we wanted to keep. We ended up at the Ikea on advice from a friend. It was great as it happened to be their semi-annual sale or something. My wife has definite ideas about what she wants so I was hoping it wasn't going to "break the bank" so to speak. I was more than pleased when, after what seemed like endless hours, with the assistance of the staff, the bill ended up just under 2500. Giving us a new updated look for the bedroom, livingroom and kitchen. The only complaint I have with the company is you have to put it all together and sometimes pieces or "special tools" are missing or not included.
I was looking for something interesting and classy for the house, that would be a suitable gift for my wife. Walked into Urban Barn and was blown away with the selection of ornaments, hangings, pillows and the like. Found the perfect pillows and ornaments for the living room. Wife was extremely pleased. Thumbs up!
These guys were great. Had to have the carpets cleaned before moving into the apartment. They were detailed and fast. Any question I asked was answered. After they finished they went around to make sure all spots were gone. Great service.
