Review from Kim Review left on 8 Mar 2010Rating: 5 out of 5I had 2 windows replaced by Brock Windows. I was very satisfied with the job they did. The salesman and crew where both friendly and knowledgeable. I was impressed with the crew's efficiency in putting in the windows along with the removal of their boots when entering the house and clean up of all debris inside and out when the job was completed. I will most definetly call them again for further work in my home!Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner

Doors are great, but the installer left remains (nuts, bolt, old caulking, etc...) from the olds doors all over my front porch and backyard. After numerous calls to both the salesman (Sandi) and their head office, but no one has come to clean up the mess. Also, the installer left dirty footprints all over my entranceway and a gap in the exterior brick of my side door that I have had to fix to avoid water entering into my house. The new doors look great, but when I order a new door I also expect the installer to clean up after himself and take ALL the debris from the old door with him. He only took part of it and claimed he would return to clean it up. A month later nothing has happened.Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner

We paid over $12000.00 to get front and back doors installed. The contractor broke the lock on the back door and says he will replace it. That was almost 2 months ago and we are having little luck getting it done.Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner

I had windows installed recently by this company, the experience was not the greatest. I booked the day off work because someone needed to be present on the day of installation. Nobody showed up so I called the company and was informed that their truck had broken down and were unable to come out. I was frustrated as this counted as a vacation day for me at work and nobody thought it was important to notify me of the situation. I rebooked another day for installation. They showed up this time, however some windows were missing that I ordered. One installer worked while the other went back to their warehouse and picked up the missing windows. As a result, a one day job turned into a two day job and yes another vacation day for me. The installation was mediocre however instead of me taking one vacation day, I ended up taking 3. An apology does not make up for lost revenue especially when you have a young family and vacation days are crucial. Also, I just found out North Star windows went bankrupt which are windows that were installed by Brock. What will happen to my “life time warranty” now that it’s not worth the paper it’s printed on?Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner

We had new windows made and installed by Brock Doors and Windows. Two of the windows were extremely large as they were being installed in a kitchen with a cathedral ceiling. Amery, the installer came to measure the openings and angles for the windows and after they were made he arrived promptly at 9.00am on the day of installation and with the help of his two young apprentices proceded to install the windows. The fit was perfect and the look exceptional. He also installed a bay window and likewise it was a perfect fit and he did an great job fitting siding to the bottom of the window box. After a full days work they cleaned away all the debris and left the house as they found it. I would not hesitate to recommend Brock windows, their profesionalism and service were second to none. I heard alot of positives about Brock. I spoke to the Salesman on the phone. He didnt want to come out to look. With some prodding, he made it out. I was told it would be installed in mid January. I emailed the company and go no reply. I also called a few times and was told the windows were not ready. Eventually, 14 weeks later (first wk of Feb), I got a call at 7am on a Monday (no notice) and was told my windows would be installed that day. I had to leave work to be at home during the installation. Once there, the installers started breaking the WRONG window. I ran out in the cold and told them the windows to be replaced were on the other side of the house. That's what was on the invoice. Laurel and Hardy didn't have a clue. I ended up having to replace an extra window!! They went to lunch to get another window (i thought they were being custom made!) and came back an hour later. They just pushed the window in the whole and caulked around it. I had no idea that installation was so easy. It's still cold in the basement and I don't know if that's due to the windows or the basement itself. Anyway, all in all, it was a miserable experience and I would not recommend Brock based on my experience. Like a true Canadian I just took it.Answer from pro:
Mr. Khan we at Brock try our best to be accomodating to our customers and also try to provide the best customer service. Looking at your file your windows were ordered on November 12, 2009 and you placed an order for two standard size Reliance basement windows at a cost of $596 + gst. You were informed by Mark hill approximate delivery would be mid to late January as the industry closes down for 2 to 3 weeks for the holiday season and re-opens January 4, 2010. Don the installer had a cancellation and called you at 7am January 29 to see if anyone was home and if it would be convienent to install your windows. You were at home and not at work, as well you were quite happy and accomodating to let him come by to install the windows. At no time were you pressured to having the installation that day. You personally took Don to the side of your house where there were two basement windows. He started to remove a sash and you informed him the two windows were on the other side of the house. He began to put the sash in the window and you asked him if it could be replaced as well. He did not damage the window and went out of his way to go to Reliance Windows on his lunch to get the third window for you. So in fact your order was delivered on time. You were not inconvienenced, we went out of our way to get you a third window the same day, and you were quite happy when Don left the site and paid your bill in full. Our installers are all Window Wise Certified and professional, Don has many years experience in the industry. Also your window was delivered in 11 weeks not 14 weeks. Reliance windows come in standard sizes to fit builders steel frame basement windows. They are not a custom made window. We truly appreciate your business and we are sure you will enjoy your new windows.

We had all our windows replaced over a 2 year period. We did the upstairs windows 2 years ago, and with that job, 2 windows were mistakenly reversed in placement (i.e. opened the wrong way to the wind direction in our area). We phoned Brock, and they came back within 2 days and redid those 2 windows with no questions asked. Then this year we had all the lower floor windows replaced, again with Brock. I have absolutely no trouble recommending them, no high pressure sales, just pure and simple great windows, great price, and great service.Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner

The Brock representative arrived on schedule, the day I moved into my 80 year old home. Unfortunately, my movers were 8 hours late and I was just arriving at the same time. While I was directing movers, he walked around taking measurements. He understood that with much work to do around the house, that I was trying to keep costs down and recommended the windows to replace first. He gave me a quote and went on his way. No pressure, just straight forward advice. When I was ready to order, Walter was quick to make all the arrangements. The windows have been installed for a month now and I have already noticed the difference on my heating bill. Not only do the windows look better, but my old drafty home is much cozier. I have already recommended Brock to a number of friends and will continue to do so!Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner

The product seems to be very good and the installation was very well done. The door fits perfectly and the caulking was done very neatly on both installations. The installers were very professional and cleaned up before they left. The only negative was the lenght of time it took from the order to the installation - approximately 16 weeks. All in all, it was an excellent job.
