Hiring Brock Doors and Windows was huge mistake. Sales person, Scott was very polite and knowledgeable, he suggested which windows should we choose, but he forgot to mention one very important thing, that it is normal for slider windows to have water back in window track from inside the house. If we new that, we wouldn't have purchased them. But, we didn't know that and we purchased 8 windows - 5 are sliders. After rain, I have to wipe the water. If I don't , it sits in the window track and after evaporates, leaves yellow mark. I've contacted Brock many times, several technicians came over to check the windows and they said water is normal.
Another issue is capping job. 5 sliders should have been capped the same, but they haven't. One was capped different. Also, on 3 windows old aluminum hasn't been removed, it was capped over.
They told me this: "Again I do apologize as I was under the impression the capping could be fixed, but after speaking with Joey, and my Production Manager;
It's not something we can rectify without changing how your shingles were done,The shingles are not symmetrical with both of your windows as you can see in the photos causing the discrepancy,"
Can anybody really see asymmetrical shingles on the attached photo? I can't and was trying to tell them but they just didn't listen. If there was really valid reason to cap one window differently, why wasn't that discussed with me prior finishing the job ( I took the day off work, just stepped out to the store).
Also, I have never received explanation why old aluminum wasn't removed. Did Joe have valid reason for that s well?
Brock Doors and Windows messed up my house big time, and I would never recommend this company to anybody. They don't honor the contract and simply they don't care. I tried to get this fixed by submitting claim to BBB, but no success there, Brock refused to do anything.
