    chimney inspection

    very satisfied with the inspection & suggestions. Owen is very polite & knowledgeable. takes his time & is not rushing. fair quote. called in advance. Will use this contractor again.

    Would give more stars if I could!

    Just amazing! We’ve hired A1 for both of our houses and their service is the definition of above and beyond. Not only did they complete the service that we’d hired them for, but Owen also fixed our fireplace doors that had been broken, check to make sure that we could operate the new damper, answered a litany of questions and gave us great advice. We will never go with another company for our fireplaces. We had our chimney fully cleaned, the old insert fully removed and a lock-top damper installed (Owen even explained what that is!).

    Chimney inpection and prep.

    I called during the busiest time of year (early December). They were very pleasant on the phone and made every effort to accommodate me, despite being so busy. There was a mix up with the visit date, but they showed good customer service, were very apologetic, and rectified the issue to my satisfaction - they prioritzed me and sent someone as soon as possible. Owen, who came to do the inspection, was extremely knowledgeable - took the time to teach me how to get the best out of my chimney and gave me tips (plus sent me an email with instructions). As it turned out that a cleaning was not necessary, but just an inspection and opening up, he reduced the price - which was very honest. I would gladly recommend A1.

    Fireplace cleaning

    We have used the fireplace regularly since November with no issue. Had the fireplace cleaned today and when we lit the fire tonight the house filled with smoke. Tech left the damper on the flu half closed. Unprofessional to say the least

    Thank you for your feedback, Nancy. I am sorry that you had this experience. Normally, our technician would leave the damper fully open or closed based on the customer's preference. Unfortunately, he did not let you know of the damper position and we apologize for this. We recommend to all of our customers that they check to ensure the damper is fully open prior to the start of a fire. We do understand that this does not alleviate the responsibility of the technician to have notified you of its position prior to leaving.

    Fireplace/Chimney cleaning & inspection

    Basement fireplace had not been used for some 40 yrs. Tony inspected & cleaned firebox etc. He was on time, polite and knowledgeable, leaving site clean! I would recommend A1 for this service. Staff also were very friendly.

    Cleaned chimney. Hadn’t been cleaned in over 15 years. Installed screening to stop small birds entering.

    Multiple birds flew down chimney this fall and became trapped in fireplace. Had to carefully remove and messy soot stains in living room. Nathan was completing another job in our area and came same day we ordered service. Done! Yay!

    Chimney and wood stove cleaning

    During this pandemic time, the majority of companies try to bill you for unnecessary work, and unless you have a big install or repair they don't even bother to show up, but A-1 was honest from the moment they answered my call, have fantastic customer service, professional service, on time and great attention to detail. I recommend A-1 Quality Chimney Cleaning & Repair without hesitation

    Chimney Cap

    In July I noticed my chimney cap was gone. So I contacted A1 Quality Chimney. Aaron give me a quote for a new chimney cap and arranged for somebody to come out in a couple days to install it. It was installed in 15 minutes Very satisfied

    Stellar customer service

    The staff from this company is phenomenal. From the moment you book your appointment until the service is completed, you deal with polite, knowledgeable people. Tony just came to our place to check the fireplace and to teach me how to use it. What a nice guy who really knows his craft. I highly recommend their service!

    Chimney cleaning and firebox repair

    I called the company to book an appointment based on the reviews in Homestars and I'm happy I did! The appointment was booked for a time 2 weeks from the call but I was told that if they had an opening they will call me back. Shortly after I got a call and the appointment was bumped 1 week earlier. Odene came to do the fireplace cleaning and repair some missing mortar in the firebox. I also had some questions about the chimney and underneath it in the basement. He was very friendly and took the time to answer all the questions and explain the answers to me. I am now confident that the fireplace is in good working order and I'm ready to enjoy it again in the winter. Thank you!
