    Chimney repair

    This review is long overdue but better late than never. Got a quick and easy quote on the phone with Kelley. The repair for my parent's chimney was more involved than anticipated and Owen came out for a second visit. He took great care in explaining the issue and texting real-time roof-top photos to me while I was at work. I'm very happy with his repair job and so appreciative of the extra touches he added free of charge. Thank you Owen for your excellent customer service.

    service

    We had this company clean our chimney and were very pleased with the service and professionalism. A few weeks later we had a issue with the flue and when I call their office they had a person at our home within 20 minutes. He assessed the chimney and explained what he thought had happened. No intervention required and we were given instruction on the working of the flue and how to manage it. We were not charged for this second visit and given very helpful information. Excellent service all around

    Chimney Cleaning

    Used the HomeStars for the first time to book this service, and was very lucky to find A1. They were very respectful of our home and recommended the appropriate service, even though that they could have charged me far more that they did. I initially requested the VET 3 inspection for our 2 chimneys, but after speaking to them they recommended only cleaning, which was far less in $$ the inspection. Honest, on time, and professional. Hard to find these days.

    Chimney liner installationa and repair

    My elderly mom had issues with her chimney and all we had to do was put in a call and we received immediate and prompt attention. Owen was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, friendly and professional. The chimney was inspected the same day we called into the office and Owen called us by the end of that same day explaining what was wrong and more importantly what needed to be done. The work was done the following day and both Owen and his team member giving my mom the piece of mind she needed to know that there was no risk of carbon monoxide seeping through the old and damaged chimney lining. Overall, both my mom and I were incredibly pleased with the service we received. We would absolutely recommend A-1 Quality Chimney without any reservation!

    Chimney Cleaning

    Shawn arrived on time, was professional and courteous, and finished the job in a timely fashion. He was also unobtrusive and left his work area very clean. I highly recommend this company. Christine.

    Fantastic service

    We needed a cap placed on our chimney to prevent birds and other animals from taking refuge from the cold. Owen was incredibly helpful, kind and efficient. We will be recommending this company 100%!

    Chimney Maintenance

    The damper in our chimney had fallen out of place. Although it is a 'small' repair, I wasn't able to fix it myself. I called A1 Chimney and the next day Owen was at my house to put the damper back in place. It only took a few minutes but I really appreciated the help and the quick response. We are happy to be able to use our fireplace again - especially on these very cold -21C days. Thank you so much Owen!!

    Fireplace check and cleanup.

    First time to use HomeStars, and came across this company. Booking and response was prompt, professional and very knowledgable. I originally asked for WETT 3 inspection that would cost me $$$ however, A1 recommended that they do the cleaning based on their experience. Needless to say that they could have ripped me off on that, however its impressive to see the company that cares about customer need and not only money. The service call was on time, very clean and respectful of our home. We were up and running in no time. Originally, they were suppose to clean two fireplaces, however, after the inspection and since one of them was never used, they have only done one, and charged us for cleaning one fireplace. Couldn't be more than happy.

    Chimney inspection & cleaning.

    We searched on homestars and found A1 Quality Chimney Cleaning & Repair to be the best of 2017 and so they are very busy for this reason alone. Right away I found Kelley to be very courteous and helpful on the phone and since this was the first time I was planning on using the fire place I had many questions. When the appointment was coming up they called to confirm the day before. Sean arrived promptly at the designated time and was very professional. He knew we needed a cap for the chimney by just driving up to the house. The new cap couldn't have come at a better time, sitting on the roof of the garage was a raccoon as Sean arrived that morning, possibly just waiting to find a way into the house. He placed a new cap in mere minutes, inspected and approved the exterior of the chimney and set out to inspect and clean the inside of the chimney. Sean finished the inspection and proceeded to clean the chimney, taking ever precaution to make sure the dust and soot did not effect the rest of the house. Once Sean was finished I asked him about any tips he could give to a first time fire place user and he had no problems passing on his expertise including his thoughts on raccoons. I will definitely be using A1 Quality Chimney Cleaning & Repair in the future.

    Interior Metal Chimney Removal

    As part of a renovation we have underway we needed to remove an unused metal interior chimney to get more space for our new kitchen. From the first call the team at A1 was great, my main contact was Owen, who provided a over the phone quote based on my description of the job, date for the job and confirmed the day before. Owen came and lead the job onsite, went over all aspects pre and post and gave me some solid advice on next steps. I strongly recommend A1!
