We searched on homestars and found A1 Quality Chimney Cleaning & Repair to be the best of 2017 and so they are very busy for this reason alone. Right away I found Kelley to be very courteous and helpful on the phone and since this was the first time I was planning on using the fire place I had many questions. When the appointment was coming up they called to confirm the day before. Sean arrived promptly at the designated time and was very professional. He knew we needed a cap for the chimney by just driving up to the house. The new cap couldn't have come at a better time, sitting on the roof of the garage was a raccoon as Sean arrived that morning, possibly just waiting to find a way into the house. He placed a new cap in mere minutes, inspected and approved the exterior of the chimney and set out to inspect and clean the inside of the chimney. Sean finished the inspection and proceeded to clean the chimney, taking ever precaution to make sure the dust and soot did not effect the rest of the house. Once Sean was finished I asked him about any tips he could give to a first time fire place user and he had no problems passing on his expertise including his thoughts on raccoons. I will definitely be using A1 Quality Chimney Cleaning & Repair in the future.

As part of a renovation we have underway we needed to remove an unused metal interior chimney to get more space for our new kitchen. From the first call the team at A1 was great, my main contact was Owen, who provided a over the phone quote based on my description of the job, date for the job and confirmed the day before. Owen came and lead the job onsite, went over all aspects pre and post and gave me some solid advice on next steps. I strongly recommend A1!

We had an ongoing water leak from the chimney in an older home that was difficult to diagnose. The service techs at A1 Quality Chimney (Owen & Shawn) were exceptional to deal with. They were very professional and committed in their efforts to find the problem and resolve it at a more than reasonable cost. I highly recommend this company and thank them profusely for their quality work and dedication !

Another positive review to add to the list...Owen was very responsive by phone and set up a chimney cleaning for the weekend (always appreciated). Sean showed up right on time as promised, and did a great job with cleaning the chimney. No complaints here, would use again.

If I could accord an 11 out of 10 tasting I would. Owen was exceptional to deal with. While Owen was on the roof replacing the new chimney cap he also took pictures of my chimney to show the current state of it, he advised me that it would need to be rebuilt. Owen said he would co-ordinate with their masonry people to quote on the job. That afternoon Bob showed up. I would not hesitate to recoomend A1 Quality Chimney Cleaning & Repair to family, friends or co-workers.

A1 came to inspect and repair our chimney that was leaking during heavy downpours. The gentleman who came for the initial visit was very thorough with his inspection and came back a few more times to confirm some other checks before giving us a detailed explanation of his recommendationa and giving us a quote for the job. There were some hiccups with communication and scheduling, but when the guys did come to repair and rebuild our chimney, they did it efficiently and also did a fantastic job. We ended up needing to tear down the old chimney and have a new one built, and the masons did a great job building the new one, using brick to match our century-old home. The company also sent a chimney sweep to clean out the chimney after the new chimney was built. One thing to note - we were initially told that they would handle tarping up the fireplace before they started the teardown and brickwork to contain the debris but that didn't happen. We also were not given instructions to tarp it up ourselves the night before they came to demo the chimney (in hindsight we should've just done it ourselves but assumed someone was going for to tarp it up in the morning before the demo work started), so we weren't too impressed by that lack of communication point as it made a huge mess in the living room (and being 7 mths pregnant at the time, was very frustrating!) Overall, despite the communication issues, they still do fantastic work and are definite experts in their field, so would recommend.

I received a confirmation/reminder phone call the day before my appointment. No complaints at all, will use again.

Just wanted to leave a review for a1 chimney . This company was a pleasure to deal with. It was done in two visits. Owen and Shawn were so professional and the only company that I was impress with. It is so nice to have good customer service. They always called to confirm appointments. They also explained what was needed from the beginning to end. I have been using A-1 Quality Chimney Cleaning for over 5 years now and am always happy with the service I receive. They are always prompt and on time, and when scheduling they are eager to find a time that suits my schedule vs forcing me to fit theirs. Their technician Shawn is amazing. He is clean and courteous - shoes are left at the door, furniture moved and drop cloths on the floor before starting anything. I recommend them to anyone wishing to use a reliable chimney cleaning and repair company.

I spoke with Owen the manager. He was so patient and helpful and answered many of my questions. Despite the fact that in the end I needed the service of a fireplace mason I wanted to give them a review because I felt they went absolutely above and beyond. They were honest, knowledgeable and in the future I will absolutely use their services. It is very clear to me why they have gotten great reviews on homestars from other users.
