After a horrible experience with Cherry and Clark, we left them a terrible review because we were really unhappy with the workmanship and followup repairs that were done. We're hoping that with proper training the workers who worked on our properties can provide better workmanship on their next projects. I have since amended the review and have updated the satisfaction of the company to 5/5 based on the amazing customer resolution experience through the warranty Manager, Chris Pearce. I've never met a more dedicated person in making things right after a not so great experience.

I requested 5 quotes from home stars - out of 5, 2 responded. Cherry and Clark were the first to call me the next day. The estimator turned up on time and was polite and clearly explained what was required ( even though my roof was a simple one) he still went up on his ladder and walked over it. The other estimate from another company didn't make the effort to even get onto the roof. I decided to go with cherry and Clark on their speedy response and I just liked the way the contract was worded - simple but precise. I also liked that they were so busy I would be at least 6 weeks (even though it would then be December) - I was called around 2 weeks beforehand for the eta of work start and then again a few days before to inform me the pallet of shingles and skid would arrive shortly and when the crew would be onsite. The day the crew was to perform the work it was the only snow day we have had - they turned up to ask if they could reschedule until the next day as due to the snow dump they were short crew - they introduced themselves and were professional, then the next day they could work they had to shovel my roof first. The work was completed that day. My neighbor had a minor damage to his window that I contacted the estimator on - it was delt with the next day - to my neighbors satisfaction. This is a company that prides itself on customer service and satisfaction.

I can't thank Cherry and Clark enough for sending me such a knowledgible roofer to address my leaking problem. He was on the roof less than 10 minutes and pointed out some other serious problems which now need addressing. I will choose them for my next roof. Thanks

have known Cherry & Clark for years and knew of their expertise in the roofing buiness. Needed a reroof done quickly due to deterioration of existing shingles, and job was done quickly and professionally.

We had our rental property redone in Toronto and it was stressless experience. They made sure our tenants were taken care of and completed the job on time and on budget. I will use them again on our other properties. Special thanks to the staff for keeping us updated on the project daily, it really helps when you are thousands of KM away.

Very frustrating experience overall. Couple of specific issues to highlight. Bin delivery 8am, they got neighbour to run down stairs out of shower to get her to move car so they could dump bin on shared driveway space and block half of neighbours drive. Never discussed ahead of time. Dumped the plywood stacks in front of the bin restricting the neighbours driveway further. Showed up late first day due to crew lost keys around 11am – on a critical coordination day with mold remediators who were hired to work together - Cherry and Clark charged premium for this privileage. Showed up at 9am on second day down a man due to sickness. understandable it happens. Worked in the the late hours in the dark and cold to catch up after first two day delays – How good a job could they possibly be doing if they cannot see properly and the temperature drops. When asked about ventilation – we were given a multiple option with additional costs associated with each one – point of the roof job was to get mold out of attic and make sure it does not come back Paid a premium to Cherry and Clark for the coordination with mold remediation team which caused delays for the Mold crew and cost them at least half a day. Chimney was falling apart (crumbling) I found this out later but Cherry and Clark never suggested repair or mentioned it. I have since had other roofers to some minor repairs and apart from some soft spots on the roof they say the job is not too bad from what they can see. As homeowner i have no idea how good the work is and can only comment on my experience with the company which i summarize as frustrating. As a result i would not recommend this company based on my experience.

Nov 2011, Cherry and Clark replaced my roof, work was good , done as promised, took pictures while working on the roof... I would hightly recommend them to others who need a new roof.. I got several quotes,and found them as the best choice...

John was our Sales Rep and he provided excellent service. He knows the roofing business well and was able to advise us of what was best for us and what to expect during the installation. There were a few deficiencies after the installation and we had some trouble getting them resolved with the first Supervisor Cherry and Clark sent out but we insisted on dealing with another Supervisor. The second Supervisor was very responsive and quickly finished everything to our satisfaction. We chose top of the line shingles and the roof was installed well. Overall, we are happy with Cherry and Clark and would use them again.

My husband Adam and I were terrified we would have to redo our entire roof this winter once we saw water stains on our bedroom ceiling. We called Cherry and Clarke along with 2 other companies. Cherry and Clarke not only was the only company that got back to us right away but they made sure to repair the problem in a timely manner with a very reasonable quote. I wish Cherry and Clark asked me directly how my experience was rather than direct me to this site to leave comments, so I could explain to them my dissapointment. Ironically I chose Cherry and Clark because of thier years in business as they definately were not the least expensive out there. What was quoted to be a 1 day job turned into a a 3 and half day project, due to the very young team they sent out to install a new roof. I was really surprised that the installer who had the most experience appeared to be in his early 20's. The sales experience was very good and the gentleman really gave us confidence we were dealing with a company who has been doing this for ever. Unfortunatley the job itself was nowhere near what was promised. They showed days late because of a hold up on other jobs. Understandable, but when they started on a Friday they didn't have enough shingles to cover one third of the roof, and had trouble getting more because it was now the weekend. Apparently they tried but by the time they showed up to thier supplier they were closed! What surprised me is the very young man who seemed to be in charge of the crew told me this happens all the time where the company sends them out without the right amount of shingles! They left the skylights off and the holes open all day so naturally tones of dirt and debris came into the home. 3 shingles fell into the house damaging my bathtub, ceiling and walls on the way in as well. They also neglected to bring thier own tools. 2 skylights were to be replaced but they didn't have a drill, screwdriver or bits to do the job, so I lent them my tools. The skylights still don't fit properly or look how they explained to me. A mess was left after the job despite being told numerous times dont worry about your daughter or dog we will sweep the lot with a magnet and make sure it is spotless. I picked up pieces of shingle, aluminum and at least 30 nails and plastic wrapers after they left, and apparently cleaned up, but all of this was easy to see. I hope and presume the job is now done correctly as there does not seem to be any leaks or anything but I am scepticle of the quality of what was done. Hopefully we dont have any issues, I guess time will tell. But I can't reccomend them to anyone based on my experience. There were more issues but I dont have enough time to mention them all. Unfortunatley they never bothered to follow up and sent me a link with a request to fill out comments instead.
