    There is a reason why Brent is rated so high...

    We hired Brent for an inspection based on the customer reviews. Thank you, Homestars, for leading us to him. He encouraged us to ask questions and had a lot of patience. We thought the house *looked* ok and of course Brent found unexpected issues which caught us off guard. Based on the issues (knob & tube, asbestos, leak, drainage, unsafe electrical panels, chimney being the main issues) and the repair costs involved ($30,000), my husband and I decided to walk away from the deal altogether. Brent was very thorough and no question was too small or too stupid. Unfortunately, there will not be a housewarming party for him to attend...at least this time around--but perhaps one day we'll have him inspect a house in Aruba for us (smile).

    Thank you so much for the kind words and review! You know, at the end of this home inspection I felt awful. It was such a nice home, I know you loved it, but in the end, I think you made the right decision. To do all those expensive renovations, only to leave knob and tube wiring in the walls, have an unsafe electrical panel installed, ignore a wet basement, the whole thing just didn't add up. What's even worse is that the home owner knew of these problems and did not inform you. Why would they I guess, they were just looking to unload a poorly renovated home. Oh well, a bummer I know, but I couldn't keep this stuff a secret from you! Thanks again, and thank you for choosing Classic Home Inspections! Yes please call me if you find a home in Aruba !     House Inspection

    Friendly, thorough, patient, knowledgeable, and not afraid to get his hands dirty. What more do you need to know? Book Brent and you'll be getting the kind of service that you wished you would have gotten with all the other "checkmark in a box" type home inspectors that you've used over the years. Fully recommended.

    Home Inspection

    I used Classic Home Inspection for a three year old town home in Markham. I was very satisfied by the service provided by Brent. He is very knowledgably and professional. He checked every area in great detail and provided a full report in the end. I would certainly be using his services in the future.

    House inspection

    Brent showed up even earlier than us and his commitment to his job was amazing, Very detail oriented and he found out the mould in the basement although we had another inspector and didn’t notice that issue, even he found the kitchen pipe leakage which our previous inspector didn’t notice that at all. We are so happy with Brent’s service and we give him A+++++++ and we will definitely recommend him to our friends and family and looking forward to work with you Brent again. ?

You know, I did not know the situation when I was at the inspection until he end when your realtor alluded to the fact that you had an inspection done on the property 3 days before you brought me in. I thought this a bit odd. What I find even more odd is the trend over the past 6 months of people doing the same as you, hiring me after they just had an inspection! Apparently, not all home inspectors are created equal! I just did one yesterday where a VERY PROMINANT home inspector who "specializes" in the BEACH in Toronto missed a very obvious soaking wet wall in the basement. The mold was unbelievable. How he missed it I don't have a clue. What's even better is that is a real big name in the BEACH. He's considered the "expert" of that area. I understand we all have our bad days, but come on, to miss loose trim on a wall is one thing, but to miss that type of stuff is inexcusable ...     Home Inspection

    Brent did a great job for my new home inspection at Newmarket. He was so dedicated, professional and reliable. He spent 3 more hours on the roof, in the attic, garage and basement. He pointed out few defects and those fortunately could be fixed. He provided detailed report which let us know our new home thoroughly. We really appreciated his hard work and my wife and me are very satisfied with his services. We would highly recommend you to our friends and new home buyers. Sorry for the late review but we were too busy in our new life to get online. Richard.

    Home Inspection, Aurora

    We were extremely impressed with Classic Home Inspections and in particular with Brent. We knew from the first call we made to inquire about services and the time he took the time to explain the process he would undertake, that he was customer focused, responsive, honest and flexible (not to mention very passionate about his work, knowledgable and experienced). We can report we were not disappointed and that he delivered on his promises plus more. The inspection was extremely thorough, he walked us through the home (which we requested), answered all our questions patiently with very helpful answers and explained his findings. He went above and beyond our expectations (our third home we've purchased, so we've had experience with other inspectors). The written report and pictures that documented the inspection was user friendly and will be a helpful reference for future. You will not be disappointed with Brent and Classic Home Inspections if you want excellent customer service, experience, expertise and a helpful honest assessment.

    HOME INSPECTION

    THIS GUY WAS GREAT, TOOK HIS TIME, HONESTLY I THOUGHT MY HOUSE WAS IN GREAT SHAPE, HE FOUND LOTS OF IMPORTANT ITEMS THAT WOULD HAVE COSTED ME THOUSANDS TO FIX MYSELF. I did this for my 1 year tarion, if you are reading this and 2nd guessing calling an inspector for your tarion, think again! pay this guy and he will make sure your builder is not screwing you!! He was good and priced very fair for the long time he spent at my house! great job! thanks again!

However, like I just stated in the previous review, it's always amazing that people think they know the home inside out until I show up. That picture of the crack you have posted it great, and although it is not really visible in this picture, it was all the leakage coming from that little crack that is the concern.     Home Inspection

    We bought a new house in Aurora and our one-year Tarion warranty period is coming up. After reading the reviews from this website, my wife and I decided to choose Brent to do the inspection and to help us to identify the issues that we may miss. Brent arrived at our house on time and started working on the outside right away. He was patient and took the time to explain the issues he found, emphasizing the importance of these issues, reminding us to talk to the Builder to have the issues fixed. He also took pictures of all the problems. I followed him around when he was doing the work, I learned a lot of things about our home from him. At the end, we also received a binder that has everything about our home. With Brent's inspection, he identified leaks, cracks in walls that I was not aware of. Brent also assisted us in completing Tarion's one- year form. I will definitely hire Brent for any future home inspection and will recommend Classical Home Inspection to anyone who is looking for a professional home inspector for their homes. Thank you Brent!     Home inspection prior to purchase of detached home

    I chose Brent by reading earlier reviews in this site, and what I saw in action matched every bit what I read. I am tremendously pleased with every aspect of the service I received from him. His professionalism, expertise, courtesy, customer service, etc, are all outstanding. I recommend him in the strongest possible terms.

    30 Day Home Inspection

    Brent was amazing, I was hesitant about hiring an inspector for our 30 Day following closing day but I do not regret having Brent come over. He showed up before our agreed time. Right away he began working on the outside and was really patient, he took the time to really explain the findings, emphasized on the importance of having them fixed and even explained the proper way that these should be fixed just in case the builder tries to cut corners. He made sure he took pictures of all the problems and was prompt in sending them to us. With Brent's inspection, he identified leaks, cracks in walls that I was not aware of. Brent also assisted us in completing Tarion's 30 day form. I will definitely hire Brent for any future home inspection :)

Doing a 30-Day inspection for the Tarion warranty I personally think is worthwhile. Yes, the home has a warranty; it is just that most people do not know what they are looking for to put on the Tarion sheets. How many people have I done an inspection for their new home that has leaks and they didn't know? Many! Remember, I look past how "nice everything is". Most people tend to look more at aesthetic type things. In many cases, there is much more than that. Fortunately, Dennis, your home only had some issues.
