Hot water tank - mixing valve fix

Great service. The technician arrived on time and fixed my mixing valve for the hot water tank. The total cost was $257, but as I've had the Plumbing & Drains Protection Plan, I did not have to pay anything.

    Hot Water Heater replacement

Enercare sent a tech quickly when I called that the amount of our hot water had dropped significantly in the last month. The Tech identified the problem immediately and set us up for a replacement of our rental tank. Amandeep Singh and his partner came right on time on the appointment day and did a great job replacing the tank quickly and efficiently.

    Hot Water Heater

Hot Water Heater was installed by them recently. I found out there is a leak on the welding of the pipe. I called them to fix it and they told me they cannot send me any person until Monday (6 day from now) and if I don't have a plumbing plan, they will charge me for the repair. That means they are not responsible for their bad workmanship. I regretted I rented their hot water heater.

    Service on furnace

Terrible service. I have had no heat for a few days. The technician came and said he does not have the right part which has to be ordered and we agreed that he would come again the following day. In the meantime they were to provide with heating units to keep the house warm. The units did not arrive and technician did not show up. I called the company and was told that there was no appointment scheduled in their system.

Installation of a new more efficient HVAC System, i.e. furnace, gas powered hot water heater, external AC unit

Enercare maintains our heating, cooling and plumbing systems. Our HVAC system was still working reasonably well but was coming to the end of its useful life and we were approached by Enercare (Fernando Mirgello) to consider replacing it with a high efficiency furnace, a gas powered (vs electric) hot water heater and a more efficient external a/c unit. As we have become increasingly concerned about our ever rising hydro bills and HVAC maintenance costs we agreed to purchase the new HVAC system on a 'rent to own' basis. After subsidies, the three units cost $15,400 plus HST. We will pay $209 per month as long as we own our current home with the option to purchase the system (on a declining balance) at any time without penalty . This fee should be offset to some degree by lower monthly hydro and natural gas bills and the cancellation of our maintenance contract with Enercare. The installation project took almost three weeks longer than expected to complete due to: i) the need to pressure test one of the existing plastic pipes from the furnace to the external wall of the home before the project could get started. The pipe passed the test, but it took two weeks to receive govt. approval before the project could proceed. ii) the difficulty faced by the contractor in installing three new plastic pipes from the furnace and hot water heater to the external wall of the home. iii) the inability of the contractor to complete the job in one 12 hour day. He wasn't properly informed by his head office of the 'technical' difficulties (see para. ii above) impacting the installation. The a/c unit was eventually connected and tested five days later on a warmer dry day. The Enercare sales representative (Fernando) was extremely good at managing the overall project. When we ran into unexpected installation difficulties he was able to get things back on track quickly and effectively. Great customer service! The contractor (Wahid) and his team worked long hours to ensure that the new HVAC system (new furnace, new hot water heater and new a/c unit ) was properly installed and working as promised. Waheed is a highly skilled professional who kept me informed every step of the way on the project progress. He also showed me how to manage the control system to get the best out of the system. All of the Enercare staff and contractors involved in the project were respectful of our home and time. When delays occurred they were quick to respond to our concerns. I have no problem in recommending the Enercare team if you are considering replacing and upgrading your HVAC system.

    Furnace Service

I signed up for a annual maintenance plan with Enercare. They setup an appointment and sent a tech to home. He did a good job of checking the furnace and cleaning it. A detailed report was emailed to me later. Happy with their service.
