    Amazing service by Enercare

I was very impressed with the speed of getting tech person scheduled and the speed of getting parts ordered. Most importantly the tech, Albert, who was very patient, efficient and most knowledgeable made a big difference

    Furnance maintenance

Paul Atoniak came out to do routine maintenance on our furnace. He found a small issue that we can easily address now - better than having a big issue in the winter when we would be left freezing! Enercare - came when they said and were friendly!

    Furnace/air conditioner maintenance plan

Les has serviced my furnace and air conditioner before, and I have found him to be very knowledgeable, efficient and friendly - a credit to both customer and Enercare alike. A pleasure doing business with you.

    Furnace and air conditioner

Had my old furnace checked as recommended. We were told at that time that the furnace ( as well as A/C ) barely passed and it was recommended that we look into replacing them. After some research we decided on a supplier that included 10 years parts and labour warranty as long as they did all service. Well I certainly didn't require the home service plan with Direct Energy as they would no longer have any liability to our system. Upon calling to cancel this I was told that I might as well continue to pay the remaining 10 Months as cancelling immediately would cost me the full payout. MY QUESTION TO THOSE IN CONTROL........Do you honestly think that receiving money for absolutely no reason is OK ( I am on a disability pension as well ) ? It was the company that contracts you that said that our old furnace was not safe. Was I to roll the dice and continue to pay for a service ( that is not all that great unfortuneatly you were the only choice ) for 10 more months. What if during that time my furnace failed, would you have claimed that we knew it was on the edge and it was our fault for not replacing it?

    Furnace maintenence done right

If at all possible request a guy named Paul Antoniak. Very detailed individual. Explained everything to me and encouraged me to hang around a watch him do what he needed to do. After he performed some tests he recommended a special filter for me I gladly decided to buy it as it all made complete sense to me as to why I needed it. Great job Paul. Thanks for the service.

Terrible Service.. disrespectful of my time

Rental water tank was tagged and when I called (several times) for new options, I wasn't given appropriate info so I decided to purchase a tank and cancel my contract. I arranged pick up of the old water tank, left work early and waited diligently for the contractors to pick it up from my house between 4-8pm. Forty five minutes past 8pm, no one had showed up and I had not received any calls to let me know if they were late or cancelled etc. I called the centre and was told that maybe they were running late but they could not confirm whether or not they would even show up. I have had nothing but bad experiences with both technicians who don't give informative explanations, customer service reps who give faulty information, and now contractors who don't show or call to cancel. This is such really disrespectful and can't wait to be done with this company!

WRONG DIAGNOSIS REGARDING CRACKED HEAT EXCHANGER

Stay away from Enercare as this company will make a wrong diagnosis that there is a crack on the heat exchanger of your furnace and Enercare will recommend that you buy a brand new furnace from them. I had the 1st Enercare technician checked my furnace about three weeks ago and at the end of the furnace inspection, the 1st Enercare technician claimed that there was a crack on the heat exchanger and recommended that I would be better off buying a brand new furnace since my furnace is 10 years old rather than repairing the crack on the heat exchanger for about $1,000.00 plus taxes. Since there was a crack on the heat exchanger, Enercare put a red tag on my furnace and turned off my furnace and gas line. I ended up having a cold house for the past week because of this as the past week was kind of cold. At this point, I trusted and believed Enercare that they are actually doing their job because that is the reason why I am paying them in the first place. Good thing, I have decided not to buy my new furnace from Enercare instead I hired a new HVAC contractor who is licensed and has a reputable track record because when the new HVAC contractor installed my new furnace (LENNOX modulating furnace), they found out that there was actually no crack on the heat exchanger of the old furnace when in fact it was just a rust but not a crack like Enercare was claiming. I also requested Enercare to send in another Enercare technician to take a look at the crack on the heat exchanger and of course the second Enercare technician was claiming and insisting that there was really a crack on the heat exchanger. Enercare won’t admit that they made the wrong diagnosis even though it was really obvious that there was no crack whatsoever on the heat exchanger of my furnace. I will attach pictures of my heat exchanger and you will obviously see that those are just rust and not crack on the heat exchanger. The second Enercare technician was actually rude and belittling me that I just got my new HVAC contractor from Kijiji and I should have been better off repairing the crack on the heat exchanger which actually contradicted the recommendation of the 1st Enercare technician. In fact at the end after the second Enercare technician finished with disassembling my heat exchanger, I asked him to help me move the furnace to my front yard just on the grass and the second Enercare technician said that it should be the job of the new HVAC contractor that I hired to install the new furnace. REALLY!!! Enercare is this the way you treat your customer? Just talking about customer service from Enercare. Please stay away from this Enercare Home Services as they are there to get your money. You are better off hiring another HVAC company to check and maintain your furnace. Also, when it is time to cancel the monthly furnace protection plan because I have a new furnace installed, you are stucked to paying Enercare Home Services to the rest of your plan because Enercare automatically renews your contract every year even without the homeowner agreeing to it. Lastly, if there is a lower number than zero that is how I would rate Enercare Home Services. I won’t even recommend Enercare Home Services to my family and friends so please spare yourself a headache and move to another HVAC contractor before it is too late so you won’t experience the same bad experience that I had with Enercare Home Services.

    Hate this company!

I've bought a condo where Enercare is a electricity provider by "default" from the builder (thank you Menkes!) and their customer/delivery charge is a standard charge that doesn't adjust on the amount of electricity I use. If I used 100 Kwts/month or 0, it regardless. Why? It is not as energy company should operate!!! There is no as per high/low demand use charge, it is a std 24/7 rate, when they buy from Toronto hydro on flexible use. We have smart meters, so we have to pay smart. Don't subscribe with them, terrible company and customer service is a bunch of li-ers!!!

    Plumbing services

I was very pleased with the plumbing service that Enercare provided the technician arrived on time and promptly dealt with issues I was experiencing with 3 of my toilets. The technician was very polite and efficient. I would recommend Enercare Home Services to my friends.

    Furnance Maintenance Service

Enercare serviceman (Frank) is professional and knowledgeable. He provided very good recommendations after the maintenance call and even setup the follow-up appointment. He observed that the water tank heater from another company was more than 10 years old and recommended that we should switch.
