The appointment was easy to set up. The service technician arrived within 1/2 an hr of the start of window. The work was done quickly and all of my questions were answered clearly.

Water Heater
I called Direct Energy a few years ago for service to my parents' water heater (purchased) and received excellent services. When it started acting up again, I thought to call Direct Energy again which is now Enercare.
The technician did not look at the water heater at all and went straight outside to his van. He was overheard telling someone on the phone that he he didn't want to work on it because it's in a tight space. He would not address why he didn't look at the water heater but kept harking on tagging the water heater. His Manager even admitted that they don't know whether or not there was a chimney liner or it's state. The technician was asked to leave several times.
I complained with Customer Service as I don't feel that we should pay the service call fee since the technician did not look at what we called him for. I was supposed to get a call back from a CS Supervisor but haven't heard back. The technician's Manager is now harassing us about what he "overheard" in the background when on the phone.
What I feel is that the technician saw two elderly people; one of which is in a hospital bed and is trying to take advantage of them through fear and intimidation.
Enercare is a terrible company. They are complete fraudsters and I don't recommend anyone use them.

Plumbing Repairs
The problem was taken care of, but in the process, discovered that there is inconsistency in the quality of parts used by enercare technicians. The technicians that were onsite August 26th commented that the part used on a tap repaired August 18, is an inferior part as it is not repairable! As it stands, I now have two distinct shut-off valves on my tap. While it functionally works, aesthetically, it looks a little odd.

Our technician, Bob, was super informative and polite. He has amazing customer service skills and made the entire process a great experience. He helped me understand how my furnace worked and how I can save energy/cost in my home; above and beyond what I had expected. He's an excellent asset to your company!

The service technician, Atta, called 15 minutes before coming to inform me that he was on his way. He also was prompt and was decently dressed as well. He took time to answer my questions. Thanks again. . .
There was no charge, the service is part of my annual maintenance plan.
