While installing my own garage door opener, I raised the garage door too much and had a lift cable get crossed and frayed. I was unable to get the garage door to close completely and called Dodds. They arrived quickly, properly calibrated the door, and ensured that the garage door opener now worked properly. Just after the technician left a cable slipped off. I called the Dodds number and the technician was back in 5 minutes and fixed the problem with no hassel.

I called several places to get quotes when replacing my garage doors. I was very pleased with both the meeting and installation of my new doors.I would recommend Dodds to anyone that wants excellent service and a beautiful finished product.

We have a very old detached garage. The existing doors were original to the garage. Double doors that opened manually like barn doors. We desperately wanted them replaced but we weren't sure if the garage could handle automatic doors. Dodds returned my call very quickly and made an appointment for someone to come to the house. He took measurements and discussed options. He prepared a quote on the spot for the two options we identified. We didn't get any other quotes mainly because it just takes so much time and effort to deal with people coming to the house to quote. The price was in range of what we expected. We chose the carriage house style (not sure that's exactly what it's called). The install was for two doors, about 8 feet and 7 feet wide. We also got a keypad so that we can open the doors from front of the garage if we don't have the opener with us. The installer removed the existing doors, built supports around each doorway and installed both doors. It's not yet been two weeks but the doors are working great. The only complaint (and it is minimal) is that we wanted the key pad installed inside our gate because our garage fronts onto a laneway. The key pad was installed between the doors which means it's visible and accessible in the lane way. The doors were installed when we were not home or we would have asked for it to be moved. That said, we may be able to move it ourselves. The installer did leave the area very clean. All in all, we were very satisfied and love our new automatic doors.

I live in Unionville, Ontario. I contacted 3 different local providers of garage doors in September 2011. I chose Dodd's because of the many different options that they offered and the online tool that was able to illustrate what my customized garage door choice would like. In addition, the price was very attractive. One of the owner's of Dodd's came to visit me and did not try to oversell. He looked at what I wanted and considered my neighbourhood to show me the door that would give me the best value, appearance and beautify my home. I was extremely impressed with the installers. They arrived when they said and completely finished the job before they left. They were very professional and it showed by their workmanship. Finally, they took all garbage with them. I literally have not even one complaint about the product or the installation. Well done Dodd's!!!!

My car was stuck in the garage and i needed to get my car out to get to the airport. I called Dodds and spoke with the service manager Stan. He told me that he would try and get someone out there as soon as he could. One hour from the time i called i was on my way to the airport. Thanks Dodds and Stan for the great service i will recommend everyone to Dodds.

I have used Dodd's for the past years for replacing broken springs. This past week I noticed one of my garage doors is not balanced, Came across this while doing a safety check. Dodd's adjusted the spring and the limit and tightened some hinges. Also gave some advice on what to use for lubricating the rollers.

I ordered two garage doors for a garage I was building. They arrived and installed them efficiently. I had a concern about the exact colour match between the two doors. The company sent out a quality control person to take the panels down and compare then to my complete satisfaction.

Fantastic service from start to finish! Arrived on time, had to make a custom made spring. John the serviceman was very efficient and did a great job. Very knowledgeable, friendly, and experienced. J.P. the service manager was also very approachable and helpful . I would recommend Dodds in a heartbeat! Great job by the entire staff including those that took the initial call.

We've used Dodds for years, and have always had excellent service - always on time, and always good work. But, after Art's service call this morning, I am prompted to formally comment onwhat was exceptional service. He did a great job, gave me some excellent tips for the future and lots of good information. He's a real asset for Dodds.

I scheduled appointments with 4 companies and the salesman (Michael) from Dodds was the only one to arrive at the scheduled time. The quote was realistic in all respects. Installation was delayed a bit because of the seasonal rush - but took place just a week ago and was superbly carried out. The new door has brightened up the front of the house and operates quietly and without problem. I am thoroughly impressed with the level of service from this company and the value of its products. Well done - Michael, Angela and everybody else who came through on this (relatively small) job. You guys have a winning recipe and your customers are the winners.
