    New Garage Door, constantly needs service

    I bought my garage door in 2009 on the recommendation of my in-laws. The price was comparable to others, and the service has been good. When the door was first installed, they did not include the weather strip. After a few days, the door's sensors failed, so to close the door you had to hold-down the button on the garage panel. It was a hassle, especially after just four weeks. When speaking with Dodd's Customer Service, they were empathetic and worked to resolve my issue quickly. When John from Dodd's came to service the door, he was exceptional. He took the extra minute to explain how things work, how I can regularly service the door, and moved the new sensors to a much better location. John went the extra mile to make sure I was a happy customer, and I genuinely appreciate that.

    We installed George's door and operator on Sep 14,2009 and went back on October 16, 2009 to install the weatherstrip and changed the photo eyes under warranty.The photo eyes are supplied by Liftmaster the largest manaufacturer of openers in N America who provide a one (1) year warranty. George claims he called in on Friday October October 21,2011 but we have no record of this call. We received an e-mail from him on Monday October 24 where he advised that nobody had responded to his Friday call.Angela from our Customer Service immediately contacted the client and took down all the relevant information and tried to guide the client through the process of assessing if the photo eyes may be out of alignment and so save him the cost of a service call but the photo eyes still malfunctioned. She advised the customer she would discuss the situation with her supervisor and called the client back on Tuesday October 25, 2011 and advised him that the warranty from both Liftmaster and Dodds was one (1) year and that it was now two(2) years since the original installation and since the warranty had expired there would be a service charge applicable. Photo eyes are electronic gadgets and can be affected by a myriad of problems such as being knocked out of alignment, covered by spider webs, getting wet, voltage spikes, lightning strikes etc.The clients photo eyes had been working since October 16, 2009 a period of two years and the warranty had expired a year prior but he was not prepared to pay for a service call. Angela provided him with the manufactures telephone number so that he could call them directly.

    New Garage Door

    After 23 years our garage door gave out on a long weekend!! After calling around to several companies, Dodds was very responsive in calling back and immediately sent out a sales rep to price out a new door. Installation was suburb and techncians were right on time, excellent installation and cleaned up!! Sales rep was great too and not pushy- and very good pricing . Very happy with our new door and Dodds Garage door systems.

    new garage door

    product is very good. Salesman was very honest, and only sold us what we needed , not what we wanted originally ( saved us over $1000 ). Serviceman was experienced, friendly and exceptionally fast. Would recommend this to all friends and family.

    Installation of two garage door openers for our brand new home

    We had Dodds install two new openers at our brand new home in Vaughan last month. They did a great job! Very neat and professional. And the best part is just how quiet and smooth the new openers are - cannot even hear the door opening from inside the house! I would not hesitate to rrecommed Dodds Michael in Vaughan

    Broken garage door spring

    Dodds is probably the most reliable and professional garage door repair and replacement company in the GTA. One day when I could not open my garage door I suspected that the master spring had broken. A call to Dodds had them at my house the next day. Without any fuss or surprises their technician had the door repaired in less than 90 minutes and charged only $250, which I thought was very reasonable. If you ever have garage door problems Dodds is the company to call.

    Garage door had a dent

    I called Dodds to repair the door for me. They went out and changed the pannel. However they have never sent me the recipt as promised. They were efficient, but very expensive

    We are at a loss as to the "receipt" the client is referring to. When a job is completed we ALWAYS leave a priced work order with the client or in the mail box if the client is not home. We then always follow up with a subsequent copy of the invoiced work order. We do not issue any receipts? The client states we were efficient but expensive. The question is expensive as compared to what? Surely the client did due diligence before asking us to do the work but still chose us.

    Replace broken garage door spring

    Our grarage door sprng broke. Called a few door companies from the yellow pages. Dodds gave us the best price and were able to send some one rght away. Very professional and prompt service.

    insulated garage door

    We recently purchased an insulated garage door from Dodd's Doors. Although it was a special order, the wait time was not long. All our emails were answered promptly by Angela and the installation itself (including reconnecting the garage opener) was quick and efficient. No hidden costs, good service and a clear contract...we recommend Dodd's Doors! VA Johnston

    Service

    My mom needed garage doors she knew I had bought mine from Dodds and how pleased I was with sales and service. Mom called Dodds, Allan came to see her. Mom was delighted with the knowledge and friendly service. The doors were installed on schedule as it was promised. Dodds you gained another happy customer. No wonder we hear “nobody does it like Dodds does”. Thank you again, Linda

    Installation of Door & Opener

    I recently had my garage door and opener installed, After receiving many quotations, and researching the various companies, I decided to go with Dodds. The sales representative was very knowledgeable and the installation rep was very pleasant. The installation went well except for a minor issue which they came back to rectify as promised. Dodds delivered. Thank you.
