    lawn care

I had the worst lawn on our street several years ago. Then Dr. Green started taking care of it. You guessed it. We have the best lawn on our street. And we take great pride in that.People driving by often stop and comment how nice the grass is and what did we do. All we say is two words , Dr. Green.

    Termination of services

I called to tell the company I was moving. Told them the date and that I was moving far away. They told me I needed to call a second time to confirm termination. I called from my new place of employment over 500 miles away. Confirmed I had moved. The guy said 'OK, you are clear". The group seving Guelph then went and treated my lawn and billed me...after I moved. They deny I made the second call. They also assume no responsibility for not checking since they do have the notice that I gave the first notice of moving and the date. They never made any difference in my lawn despite full complicance with their program. One reason I stayed was their willingness to rebate and redo poor work. Stay away.

    Lawn maintenance

Here is a copy of an e-mail I sent Dr Green yesterday. They have had a full business day to respond, and although I asked them - again - not to call, I would have expected at least some kind of e-mail response. So far, nothing: Dear Dr Green, Have you ever paid for something, and ended up feeling like you received nothing, nothing at all for your money? Such is my experience with Dr Green. We used your services for two years, and watched as our lawn went from bad to worse. When I called to cancel your services, I was asked why I wanted to cancel. A reasonable question, and I supplied a reasonable answer: I was unhappy with the service provided. Our lawn was actually worse than it had ever been. The young lady I was talking to suggested that if I had been unhappy with your service, then it was up to me to call and complain. I objected to that approach at the time and still do. I would expect that a lawn care company would not need me to tell them when a lawn is not responding to the treatment provided. If it's your job to create and/or maintain a lush, green lawn and the methods you're using aren't accomplishing that, then perhaps someone at the lawn care company should stop and say to themselves "Hmmm.. this isn't working. What else can we try? Maybe we should call the owner and talk to them." But you didn't do that. No, you waited until I told you I no longer wanted to pay for your services, and THEN the calls started coming. And coming. And coming. I received five or six calls asking me why I had cancelled and offering me free services if I would only sign up with you again. I kept telling the callers the same story and asking politely that they do not call again. The last time I was called by Dr Green I told the poor woman in no uncertain terms that I never wanted to hear from your company again. In retrospect, you're probably right. I should have called, complained like hell, made damn sure I got my money's worth and THEN cancelled. Who wants to do business like that? And yet today I receive a very nice card from you in the mail. Nice graphics. Really. Very slick. And the sincere-looking typeface telling me that "No matter why you left us, we would like to make it right." And offering the same 'free' services (provided I sign up for a full year) that were offered me when I first cancelled. And inside,in very small and oh-so-sincere type "thinking of you..." Nicely done. Almost gives me the warm'n'fuzzies. Two things this card tells me: 1) You're not sincere at all. If you had wanted to "make it right" someone would have come to my property, surveyed the badly-maintained lawn and offered me my two years' money back for services not performed. 2) You must have a lot of ex-customers feeling the way I do, or you wouldn't have spent the money on designing and mailing this card. So - here I sit, reminded again by Dr Green about how I got ripped off by Dr Green. Now go away. DO NOT CALL. Delete whatever information you have on file regarding my property. I do intend to spread the word, though. Regards, etc.

    Lawn care

I have been a Dr Green client for 4 years and my lawn is looking better every year - even according to my neighbours. Actually both my neighbours have signed up for the service and there lawns are starting to look better after just one year. The phone call the day before notifies me of next day service.

    Seasonal Lawn care

I for one will not use their sevice agaln, the guys that came out to do the work were knowledgeable. I paid the invoices when they were left in my mailbox, then I would recieve invoices for work not done and 2 weeks after the invoice date. I to started getting phone calls late at night. When I complained that I never received the service they came out 2 days in a row and gave my lawn the same treatment. Whats with that? Here it is January and I am still getting invoices.

    receiving calls from collectors

I am a first time dr Gren customer( 2011). I paid for the full service in the beginning of the season. there customer service was good but they had to come several times to repeat the job. I was patient with them and felt that they were trying. But the reason I am writing this review is that they have send me to collectors . I have been receiving calls 2to 3 times a day for the last 3 days. I am frustrated and I don't now what to do. I paid for a full year than I asked for over seeding which I was told would cost &78.20 I agreed to it and did not receive an invoice for that amount. Bee\n I good customer I called them to ask of my balance and they told me it was over 160 I explained to them and they agreed that my balance was $78.20 and I told them I will pay the next day online. I since I made that call I have been receiving calls from collectors. these does not make any sense . Somebody needs to check on this. I think this is a joke. I received a call from customer service at 6.00 pm Friday apologizing then a received a call at 8.00 PM from the collectors and these is still going on. I want them to stop calling my home. I will never never ever use Dr Green You've lost A customer. Call me and lets resolve this

Lawn care, fertilizer and weed spray

Terrible service! The guy would repeateldy show up on a day were rain was in the forecast and lay down fertilizer and weed spray together haphazardly all over the place in no particular direction. He missed huge areas of the lawn...we could actually see his tracks on the lawn because of the rain and the rain washed away the weed killer so we kept having to call them back to respray. We laid new sod down just the summer before and now our lawn is one of the worst in the neighborhood. Can't believe it!! What a waste of money for us. Then when I called to complain they refused to take off the cost of the fertilizer. Come on! What happened to customer appreciation and service?! Now they are insisting on us paying the entire amout, plus interest and late payment fees. All for a "service" they never really rendered to us. Do not use this company! They only care about money and they will not take care of your lawn.
