    Partial sewer line replacement/removed peatrap

Jeremy and Armando treated me with respect and courtesy. The job was done quickly and professionally. When the job was done, you could not tell that my yard had been excavated earlier that day. I am happy my friend Gord Mitchell recommended them to me and I would recommend them to anyone.

    Soil Drain Replacement

I hate spending money on my house in places that I cannot see it. Our soil drain under our basement blocked between Chistmas and New Year. We called Drainworks they responded promptly cleared the blockages, (tree roots). Mike Dunn provided us with a long term option to fix this consistant problem and a quote, we did not feel preasured to make a descision. The work was carried out in a very professional manner, our basement was dug up but upstairs you would never knew they were in the house. I would not hesitate to recommend Drainworks to anybody, Mike was a pleasure to deal with.

    Plumbing Service

After completing renovating our home about 10 years ago, we had some ititial plumbing problems with the old clay pipes that connected the house to the city sewers. Terry Cord came out to inspect the issue, and we were impressed with his professional attitude, backed up by his (and his team's) expertise. When we needed help recently, we called Drainworks again, and Mike Dunn came to the rescue. I cannot recommend this employee enough - professional, knowledgeable, respectful - he and his team have really impressed me. Don't bother with any other company. These guys are fast, good, and TOTALLY reliable!

    Emergency snaking of backed-up drain

My wife and I called with a plumbing emergency on a Sunday afternoon. William (?), the dispatcher, was friendly and attentive, and gave a totally accurate ETA. Jeremy Harris, the technician, was friendly, methodical, polite...the works. He didn't promise that our issue wouldn't recur, because one of the pipes is in need of eventual replacement. Instead, he suggested that at some point, we contact him or another plumber to fix the situation. That honesty was refreshing. Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. You'll see DrainWorks vans everywhere -- they've got the founder's picture on them. If you're gonna put your face on your vans, you better be darn sure run a great company. DrainWorks is definitely a great company. 10/10

troubleshooting a drain problem involving a solvent spill

Diligent and professional service from Mike and Eric at DrainWorks. They were able to think backwards and solve a problem upstream of the drain. Here's the story: A spill of paint thinner (2L) occurred in the basement entrance way. Apparently it had flushed clean through the drain system. Nevertheless it was still generating fumes, and the house is uninhabitable without special ventilation. They inspected the drains with a video camera, and figured it out. The fumes are probably coming from the foundation wall and floor. They found that the drains themselves were OK all the way to the street. Out back where the spill occurred, the S-trap under the inlet was full of sediment, and therefore draining slowly. So the large volumes of water that were originally used to clean up the spill must have caused the drain to back up somewhat, at that time. A line of 'weeping tiles' runs into the same inlet, just beneath the surface. It drains the foundation. When the water backed up, it must have backed up onto the weeping tiles, carrying the paint thinner with it. The weeping tiles are semi-permeable. So the paint thinner has probably seeped into the foundation wall and adjoining floor. From there it is evaporating into the house. Good detective work. (Now, if anyone knows how to neutralize paint thinner that's soaked into the foundation, please let me know. :) -- Mike Allan, mike@zelea.com

**Thanks Michael** We appreciate your review. At DrainWorks we understand how essential a good problem solver is to address your concerns. And in this situation, using our equipment and problem solving skills, we were able to pin point the probable source of your problem. When assessing a situation like yours, an invisible fumes smell, pin pointing the source is somewhat based on logic and probability, which suggests that a possible course of action for a permanent solution must in it self be probable, an attempt at best. We did offer such an attempt in the form of a power flushing quote, but it was declined. In our opinion a power flushing of the weeping tile would be an attempt at alleviating the smell or at the very least lessening it. Although such a process could hold no guarantee for your unique situation, it would be the first step towards solving the problem.

    Clogged Kitchen sink

After three bottles of Drano, I finally gave up and seeked professional help. After reading other reviews on this site, I decided to give Drainworks a call. I was not disappointed. The company was able to come on the day I called them. Lou Spada came to my house, assessed the situation, and was in and out in less than an hour. I appreciate that he snaked the drain all the way down from the kitchen to the basement, to ensure a thorough job. Next time I need plumbing services, I will give Drainworks a call.

Water backing up in the basement

On Thursday December 27th I had water coming into the basement so we called drain works and these two gentlemen came and check it out. We had a blockage in the drain near the washing machine in the basement and they really had a hard time unblocking it but they didn’t give up which I really appreciated. Then we went out to the front and we had tree roots blocking our drain and again Armando and his crew unblocked it and they did a great job. I just want to say thank you to Armando Gatti and his crew for the amazing job.

    Clogged Basement Drain

This saturday afternoon, I was dismayed to see water on the laundry room floor in the basement. Three years ago, we had Drain Works repair some broken clay dray tiles in the basement and they also replaced pipe running from the front of our house towards the road. I was impressed with their service so called them again. I was told a rep would call between 6 and 7. Matt showed up precisely at 6 o'clock. Because Drainworks had the foresight to install an access pipe in front of the house three years ago, Matt was able to snake from that point outwards, and (happily) encountered a blockage past our property boundary, on city land. Matt was polite, courteous and professional. Most importantly, within a few hours of placing the call on a Saturday afternoon, the problem was fixed. I would call them again, and recommend them to anyone.
