After reading all the reviews here about Dupont, I decided to call them to fix my furnace problem in this cold winter day. I was so happy for this decision. They came and fixed the problem very quickly and gave us very good advice. And the service price was quite reasonable. They also gave very competitive price for replacing the furnace later. I'll definitely choose Dupont always and will recommend them to my friends.Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner

I had priced like 10 different contractors for full HVAC and partial duct replacement in my house and their price seemed to me the most fair for Carrier 95 furnace and Keeprite 14.5 conditioner. The job is done and after a few months i have nothing to complain about, everything works plus i already received government rebate Dupont applied on my behalf.Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner

We have ductless air conditioners one of which had a faulty pump and a lost remote. We called Dupont who were supposed to know how to deal with our brand. The worker came with the required remote but didn't realize it needed batteries so went to a nearby store to buy them. He also didn't realize that one remote would work on all identical units. He looked at the ACs and said the filters needed cleaning - he handed them to me and I washed them. He told my husband to wash the condensing units outside. He didn't touch the pumps at all. He charged $200 for the remote and $99 for the 'service' call. When I called (3 times) to ask for further service (the $99 was supposed to be for 3 months) the company was very polite but never called back. I got someone else to replace the pump and do the required maintenance at considerable expense (this worker told me that the pump maintenance was a regular part of a service call).Answer from pro:
This customer called us because she lost her remote control for her ductless air conditoner. The ductless air conditioner will not work without the remote. We special ordered the remote for her and set up an appointment to deliver the remote and test the unit. The technician did not have batteries with him and asked the customer if they could provide them to set up the remote with the ductless air conditioner to allow for proper testing. Once the unit was set up with the new remote, the technician advised the customer that the unit required cleaning due to a lack of maintenance. He advised and showed the customer how to clean the filters on the unit as this should be done on a regular basis. When the service call was booked with us, this customer did not mention to us that they required maintenance of any sort. Our technician was kind enough to point out the dirty filters and show them how to maintain their unit. We do not charge service calls for maintenance, only for repairs. This customer wanted the service call charge to go towards a maintenance of the unit which we do not charge for. Her pump ultimately failed due to lack of maintenance and we tried to help her understand how to do that herself. Servicing the pump is part of the maintenance service but we were not asked to perform the maintenenace on the unit when the service call was booked. The technician sent out was a repair technician who carries parts and tools for repairs not a maintenance technician who carries cleaning tools and cleaners. Our maintenance charges are flat rate without a service charge. If the remote was a problem and she called us again for service, the service call charge would not be charged to this customer because she has already paid for it. I can explain this to you over the phone if you wish to discuss the matter further. Mike Logozzo 416-532-2859.

After receiving quotes from a number of companies for a high efficiency furnace, I was very happy that I decided to go with Dupont Heating. Their prices were much more reasonable, and even more importantly, they didn't try to upsell me or lay on the gimmicks. The man who gave me the quote was straight-forward and easy to talk to. The install crew was excellent and all my dealings with the company have been equally as good. I highly recommend Dupont Heating and Cooling!Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner

Dupont did a great job with some small but complicated jobs around my house. Duct work, pipe replacement, valve replacements, and securing bathroom pipes. The also did some great work for the in-laws with a heat pump (large job). Very good firm.Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner

Micheal from Dupont Heating came to clean furnace. He spent about 1/2 hour doing this. He did a check list of everything he did: thermostat operating, checked venting, piping, burners, cleaned blower and checked operating, checked heat exchanger, filters checked. and CO levels He said the furnace was working well and that I did not need a new one for a while. Very satisfield with the work.Review from Dave Pask Dave Pask

Mike was great to deal with from the get go. I had called him almost a year ago about a potential problem but he gave me simple directions on the phone to a solution. Remembered this and the reason why I called on them again. Service technician showed up today on time and was very knowledgable. Took his time to explain the system to me and the challenges we were facing. He was very polite and respectful of our home and children. Notice a couple of issues that needed to be addressed and explained thoroughly to me. Called Mike to make arrangements for a follow up service call on the spot and to make sure any needed parts were available to get the job done quickly. A price for follow up work was provided on the spot while technician was on the phone with Mike. So far...very happy.Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner

I had this company install a new gas furnace. Work was completed in a timely manner and installers were very pleasant. I than contacted the company to service my slim jim air conditioner located on my roof. They booked me in and never showed up. Called to see what happened and they gave me an excuse. Rebooked and same thing happened. Tried one more time. Same deal. Called the fellow who does booking and asked what kind of service is this. He advised that their technician didn't want to get a ladder and go on the roof to service the air con. I guess they must have too much business when they treat their customers like this, and after paying for a new furnace. Called their competitor, [ed- competitor removed] who where happy to do the job and now service my furnace as well.Answer from pro:
All of our technicians have ladders on their trucks to service this type of equipment. The only time we do not service these units is when the weather is bad and doesn't allow us to service the units properly. We always call ahead if the technicians are late or if we cannot accommodate the appointment time. BE AWARE....This person has given bad reviews to all the companies she has dealt with. I don't see this as a legitimate review and could be false. If this person wishes to discuss the matter in person or on the phone they are more than welcome to come into the office or give us a call at 416-532-2859.
