I have had trouble sleeping over the past two years as I live on Bay Street. Cars, ambulances, motor cycles go all night long. I saw B Quiet windows at a house that I recently sold and was spellbound. Yes... they are very expensive. I no longer sleep with a white noise machine. They colour matched the existing frames. The building manager was very impressed with the work as well. I would highly recommend them. Paul

Keen to expand our living space as we moved into the family formation phase of life, my wife and I bought a nice townhouse in downtown Toronto. While we knew it was on a busy street, I didn't know that it would impact me as much as it did after the first few minutes of moving in (I actually thought we bought a lemon and would lose all of the equity we had in our place when we have to sell, which I wanted to a few weeks after moving in). After researching all the sound proofing options in the world, I stumbled across Encore's bqueit windows and subsequently got in touch with Dave R. He took many of hours over the course of a few weeks to chat via phone and email and then eventually visit to discuss options to reduce noise within our house. I can not say enough good things about Dave; not only is his technical knowledge at an expert level, he is a genuinely great guy and wants the best for his clients over the long term. We ordered two bquiet windows and one bquiet storm door for an upper level patio. Installation was efficient and clean. The end result: I now sleep like a baby. These windows work great and eliminate all sharp noise (not all noise), but have restored the peace I was looking for. They are expensive, but they are an investment in both reduced heat loss and peace and quiet. Next phase will be some new sound proof picture windows and will look to get a few more windows done with the bquiet solution. Thanks Dave & team

it's about time I write a review for Encore. Through the years they replaced doors and windows in my home and for my neighbor. Pro and cons of the different window types were always thoroughly explained. Workmanship and warranty are second to none. Thank you Encore

Having recently purchased a home in Toronto, we were discouraged to learn that noise from passing buses on our otherwise fairly quiet street was much worse and obtrusive than originally thought. After some initial scrambling, we began to look into options to address the situation. We came across marketing and reviews for Encore's bquiet soundproof window systems, and got in touch with Mike, one of their representatives. He visited our home that same week, and we quickly determined that the front ground floor window and door were the worst contributors, as well as the front bedroom window. Mike provided a number of options for addressing these and other windows in the house, and we were able to visit their offices to see demonstrations of the windows. While Encore's estimates were fair for the scope of the work, they were not inexpensive and we were not certain that the technology would help. We decided to replace the front window with a new double-pane window (replacing the existing double-pane garden window) and a bquiet soundproof window, as well as the old panel door with glass insert with a new windowless steel door and aluminum storm door. The manufacturing of the windows and doors took about 8 weeks, and installation was on schedule and completed within the 2 day period indicated. The first time we visited the house after the soundproof window was installed, we weren't impressed - we were AMAZED! Despite our initial concerns, the bquiet window is worth every penny, and significantly exceeded our expectations. Regular motor traffic is inaudible, and a passing bus that previously drowned out conversations in the living room is little more than a muted background noise. I can comfortably read without distraction in a front room and hardly notice! The bquiet windows and new doors from Monarch were among the best value for money investments we made during our renovation, and we're planning to similarly improve another window early in the New Year.

I called the Encore office and asked to speak to the big boss. When he came on the phone I asked "Is this the big boss" no came the reply however I am a boss. So I said fine good enough, you need to know how good your installers George and Sean were today; they came very early and finished what was supposed to be a 2 day job in 1 day. They were clean, efficient and professional and the soundproof window installed in the bedroom is providing us with a quiet environment.

Encore Home Improvements did a great job when they came to my house. David came in did measurements and gave us a quote, then installed our front door. It was very good work. The door is energy efficient and brightens the house; we get a lot of compliments when guests are over. We’re getting two more doors installed just because Encore did such a great job. It won’t be as fancy but they’ll have the triple locks and a special cold lock. David did such a great job with the job at our house we recommended him to our neighbors. They did a great job.

Our home is more than 50 years old and still had the original doors. Because of the style of house and the elevation, we had a lot of doors and all of them were in bad shape. The sliding doors didn't slide and none of the exterior doors were air tight or secure. When we couldn't stand it any more, we contacted Encore Home Improvements. The consultation was great. Dave was knowledgeable and provided a lot of information about the style of door, the locks and hardware as well as what to expect for the installation to help make our decision. We decided to replace the front door and two sets of sliding doors. I was skeptical especially since the sliding doors were not a standard size. They came to install in the middle of winter but they were quick and efficient to not let the cold come in. They cleaned up after themselves so that the only evidence of them coming were beautifully installed, well-fitted doors. That winter was the most comfortable winter we had in the house since we bought it 15 years earlier. No cold drafts! Why did we wait so long? I love my new doors. They are airtight and secure. The sliding doors unlock, open and close smoothly and effortlessly. The front door is the most beautiful door on the block. It dramatically improved the curb appeal of our house. Friends and neighbors ask us where we got it and we refer them to Encore!

We had a great experience with Encore replacing 6 windows and 2 doors in our 1950's bungalow. Dave was fantastic at answering a never ending stream of questions both before and after the contract was signed, and we always felt that customer satisfaction was a top priority. George was very meticulous throughout the 3-day-long installation and we are very impressed with the end result. Encore's pricing was very competitive for the quality of the products and installation.

The service and product that we received was exceptional. Anthony's professional guidance in choosing the right door for us proved to be a very pleasant and stress free experience. He was always ready to accommodate our requests. George who installed our door is the best in the industry. His work ethic and attention to detail was impressive to say the least. We would not hesitate in recommending Encore.

We changed our front door entrance from a double steel door to a single grand 8ft fibreglass door with sidelights. We changed the large window overtop and we added some decorative elements too. Essentially the project required that the entire front entrance be removed from top to bottom. Dave Rosolen was very interested and attentive to our design. He shared our concern in making sure it was securely constructed. He provided honest and thoughtful feedback. He let us know which details needed more research. He guided us in our choice of door for our north facing entrance. George is a very conscientious and diligent worker with great expertise. He was punctual, reliable and kept working at adjusting things till fully satisfied. There were some loose ends that needed later visits. Dave gave us updates and George returned when parts were ready to install. We are very pleased with the service and results. We found both Dave and George to be knowledgeable and trustworthy. We would have no hesitation in hiring Encore again. Thank you for our beautiful front entranceway!
