    New deck

    They build a deck on the back of our house. Geoff and Pete were great to work with, they were responsive, and provided great ideas that worked really well with our space and made a great addition to our house. If any changes/modifications needed to be made they were sure to discuss with us prior to initiating the changes. We found them really easy to work with and would recommend without hesitation, the craftsmanship is excellent and Geoff was great at making sure we were happy with his work.

    Composite Deck (12' x 16')

    We are really happy we chose Hickory Dickory Decks. Everything was explained clearly from beginning to end, so we knew exactly what we would get – and when the work would be done. Material options were explained and there was never any pressure to upgrade/add-on, etc. Construction started and ended on time and on budget. There was one minor miscommunication about the finish on the stairs, but Geoff came by to see and discuss the solution – the very day we called. His crew came back to fix it quickly and he wouldn’t accept the final payment until everything was all to our liking. And it is! The deck is great! The high quality of workmanship is obvious and the attention to detail is outstanding. We are looking forward to spending much more time outside in our beautiful new space and would recommend Geoff and his team to everyone.

    Replace old side and backyard decks

    Bob Robertson from Hickory Dickory Decks replaced our old side and backyard decks. We picked composite wood and they look amazing! Bob and his team are professional and they really know what they are doing: And it shows! They are also really easy to deal with. Thanks!

    Front Porch

    Rob Hendriks from Hickory Dickory Decks just completed our front porch and stairs and we were thoroughly pleased with the project from start to finish. At the outset, Rob took the time to clearly explain product and design options and then provide us with a detailed quote. Our visit to the outdoor showroom was time well spent. He handled every aspect of the project including locates and permits and responses to questions in a timely and professional manner. Rob and his crew were friendly, hardworking and paid attention to detail during the entire project. Our property was kept clean and organized. Rob built us a deck that impressed not only us, but our neighbours walking by who took the time to compliment the workmanship. The front of our house has been transformed with a high quality deck and railing that was on budget and we would strongly recommend Rob and Hickory Dickory Decks to anyone who is looking for an excellent product and professional contractor.

    Deck

    Geoff was great as he worked with us through multiple designs of a composite deck to ultimately land on something that we are very happy with. Throughout the whole process Geoff was very knowledgeable and responsive to our questions. As the work began, Kosal and his team were also great to work with. They were very flexible as we asked for slight modifications to the design, and Kosal even sent us daily pictures of their progress as we were out of town for a few days. The workmanship is definitely of high quality as we continue to be amazed at how well everything came together - and everyone that sees it is very impressed. We would definitely recommend Geoff and his crew to anyone looking for a custom designed deck. Thanks guys.

    Backyard deck

    Peter Chen and his crew of carpenters from Hickory Dickory Decks - North York built a new deck for us this past summer. We are extremely satisfied with the work that was done. Peter and his crew were very professional, clean and organized. They completed the work in a timely manner and surpassed our expectations. The workmanship was excellent. Peter was very attentive to our requests and demands. He helped us with suggestions and he delivered exceptional service and product. Peter follow-up after the work was completed to ensure our total satisfaction. We would strongly recommend Peter Chen and his crew to anyone looking to build or repair their deck.

    Deck

    Our entire experience with Hickory Dickory Decks was great from start to finish. Geoff is very knowledgeable and took the time to explain all of our options and exactly how the process would go. Despite being very busy, Geoff responded quickly to any questions we had. He helped us choose the best product options within our budget and as a result, we have a deck that is more beautiful than we ever imagined. Anyone who sees it is very impressed with both how it looks and the quality of construction. Kosal and Cam are a great team and a pleasure to have around. They were always polite, respectful and very quiet while working. Their attention to detail is very evident in the finished product. We highly recommend Geoff and his team

    Deck

    Steve Hall was great from the start. Our first meeting took about 2 hours for him to gather all our requirements, but had to scale down a bit due to our budget. Even with the budget constraints (relatively small project for him, ~200 Sq. Ft deck) he was able to deliver a great deck. Overall project took a total of 2 days, but some material delay it took about 2 weeks. There were some imperfections on some of the composite boards and couldn't use it so he had to order more. As any contracting projects there were concerns but he was very solution oriented and quick to respond. The concerns were minimal, he didn't put down the landscape cloth that blocks plants from growing, called him and fixed it the next day. The other one I had to point out to him was regarding the drain pipe. They had to remove the cement block that runs the water away from the house. I called him and asked him what we can do, he told me to buy an roof drain pipe extension and his team was able to install it. Overall, I would 100% recommend Steve. If I had to build another deck, I would definitely call him again.

    New deck

    I researched several deck companies on Homestars after going to the Home Show. After interviewing several of them, I decided to go with Hickory Dickory deck and it is definitely the right move. Steve is very professional and I was well informed throughout various stages. He was very patience and informative about the project, I enjoyed working with his team as they are very reliable, quick and clean. Steve always took the time to answer all my questions and concerns. The quality of the work is excellent and we have already received many compliments and I would HIGHLY recommend it.

    Deck

    Geoff Aucoin was very helpful and professional from the first meeting through design and material selection. He also assisted in recommending another contractor to do steps and retaining wall around the deck who co-ordinated well with the deck install. The crew of Fred and Mitch were friendly and skilled at their jobs. We made some changes as the installation progressed and this did not seem to be a problem. The job was finished within the time frame we expected. Good experience overall and we look forward to not having to paint a deck every summer.
