    Air Conditioner Repair

    My air conditioner broke in the middle of a heat wave. I had an 8 month old at home so I needed it fixed right away. I called J&S Plumbing and informed them of the situation. They sent a service representative over right away. He fixed my air cnditiomer and made sure it worked before leaving. He was super polite and very knowledgeable. It is so hard finding reliable and honest repair people. I am so glad I call J&S Plumbing!

    Air Conditioning Install in New Home

    We had just moved into a new home in the horrible heat wave, temperatures broke records it was so hot. J&S was there right away to install our new air conditioner, although there were problems our installer Pete wouldn't leave, he kept trying and trying for 8 straight hours. Unfortunately at 9pm he felt there was no more he could do. He needed to talk to the manufacturer tech support and they were no longer open. I know he felt horrible to leave us (I felt horrible that he spent 8hrs working in that heat) but assured us he would be back, well he came back 1st thing the next morning and had us up and running in no time. He was so professional and respectful of my brand new home. He went above and beyond to make sure my family didn't have to suffer the heat anymore.

    J & S Services

    June 29th 2011 4:30pm After weeks of frustration with my hot water tank persistently going off, I decided to throw caution to the wind and search the internet for a hot water tank contractor. Having been burned several times by shoddy contractors, I was a little hesitant; which is understandable. However, on my initial search I found J & S services along with several other companies that came up on the page. Needless to say I am thankful I followed my instinct and called J & S. services. The person I spoke with was very nice and so, after awkwardly trying to explain what I think the problem is, she assured me someone would come by and take a look. A few hours later I received a phone call saying Scott was on his way. After Scott got here he diagnosed the problem and explained everything to me. Within an hour the problem was fixed. Thank you J & S and thank you Scott. I have to say Scott is a very pleasant kindly young man who assured me that he was very honest lol. Nasima

    Drain issue with shower

    Excellent Customer Service: Our shower drain was seriously backed up. Upon arrival, the service technician, Rob, quickly assessed the issue at hand, explained the process, and completed the service call in an efficient and timely manner. Rob operating in a highly professional manner. We would highly recommend them.

    Extremely Helpful. Went out of their way.

    I have used this company before and was extremely happy with the same day service. So, when I phoned for an emergengy plumbing job, core downtown at 4 PM, Water leaking from the bathroom into neighbour below's bathroom, Terri went out of her way to help me. The company had NO ONE available but Terri took over, found and made an appointment for me with another company that could be there that same afternoon. I'll be forever grateful! I definitely recommend this company to ANYONE! Fast service and extremely helpful. Thanks again Terri. Tonny.

    Shower Cartridge Replacement

    Contacted J&S to replace my leaking shower as it required a new Delta cartridge. Terri was very pleasant but when he quoted $350 we questioned the cost. Why? The part is free (lifetime warranty) and the job should take no longer than 10 minutes for a professional plumber. A previous job was done by my neighbor and I didn"t wan to trouble him. It took him 20 minutes at most. When he objected, he called the office and the were willing to reduce it down to $310. Still to high in my opinion. Therefore, we paid the $40 fee and sent Terri on his way. I must admit he was very polite about it. Instead I contacted Delta and received the cartridge for free, watched Youtube and replace the cartridge in 5 minutes!! It was extremely easy. J&S tried to take advantage of the situation and tried to overcharge for such a simple job.

    Water pipe replacement

    From the moment I called J & S Plumbing, it was a great experience. Terry was friendly and helpful over the phone and was able to book me an appointment for the next day. Patrick replaced a water pipe and tested our water. He was super friendly and was able to answer all of my questions. The price was reasonable and I like that the work is guaranteed! We will definetely call J & S again!

    Furnace repair

    Furnace broke down just before a big storm early February, only realized it after house cold for 16 hours. Saw J + S in our phone book, not realizing they mostly do plumbing, not heating and cooling. I initially called this company because it said prices are upfront and it's a family owned business. Technician Scott had a wonderful personality, but he forgot to check the fuse on the circuit board which ended up being the problem. The board was going to cost $763. The company provide electric heaters for the down time. When Scott returned and was installing the board, I asked if he checked all the fuses on the existing board and he realized he forgot, "I always check that". I was charged for the call, and another charge for what was referred to as a matrix, and that he would have to charge me an extra fee because he had to come back. I don't think it was my fault that he forgot to check the fuse and he had to go and pick up the whole circuit board. Also while checking things in the furnace, the technician saw another part that was broken and told me he would change it for me, but did not do that. I wrote this review without contacting the owners and they were concerned about the way their technicians had handled this situation. Manager Tom was very nice to deal with, and as a resolution to my plight, offered and delivered on replacing the part that the technicians said they would not replace. The part took over a week as thought and Scott came and replaced the part free of charge. I think J & S Plumbing owners resolved the issue nicely and I updated my review as a result.

    Furnace cleaning & repair

    I found J&S online and had them clean my furnace (at the reasonable cost of $99). In doing so, Brandon the technician recommended fixing the secondary heat exchanger which was leaking. In the time between the cleaning and the repair, about two weeks, the furnace stopped working. Skeptical that somehow the cleaning led to this problem, I called J&S to come check it out. As I hovered over poor Brandon as he assessed the situation, I came to learn that my skepticism was completely unwarranted. The furnace quitting on me was genuinely unrelated to the cleaning. Throughout the ensuing repairs, Brandon took the time to thoroughly explain what was wrong and how he was fixing it. In a day and age where you never know if a trade is being fair to you, I felt extremely confident in the work that Brandon had done both on the cleaning and the repair. While it is rare that I take the time to commend good service, I feel compelled to do so this time because I think that others will benefit from my experience. I plan to continue using J&S for my heating/cooling service needs.

    Leak in the basement

    I discovered a leak in my basement late at night. I phoned a couple companies and only got one response. Mike called me back seconds after I called. He answered all of my questions and had someone out to fix the problem that night, before any of the other companies even called me back. Great service! Courteous, efficient, intelligent employees willing to take the time despite the late hour.
