This guy is amazing. I call him at 10am. He comes at 2pm. He comes when he said he would. He's honest, tells me I do NOT need a new opener for 2x the price that he can fix mine in 1.5 hours. Him and his assistant do it all, on time, on budget, and with a smile. Same day service like this is killer, especially when it's done right. I will recommend Open Sesame to everyone I know, because his work was outstanding. Nice guy, too!

We had a problem 2 years ago in the middle of winter with our Garage door wire and the door wouldn't close properly. I called Steve Esber the Owner and he was extremely friendly on the phone and would promised to come the next day in the morning. We were very satisified with his service. He is our go to whenever we have an issue with our garage doors.

managed to close the garage door before the car was fully inside ! door was a mess, needed a new brace, the top was buckled and I had a gap in the top where it no longer closed. not sure if it could be repaired. Called the guys and they were great with an estimate, prompt service and two days later they were repairing my garage door, they were polite, engaging and even changed a light bulb for us... cost was $125 and we were delighted. would recommend this firm to anyone who needs garage door work done.

Bought an opener from a larger retailer and installers came on site and said it could not be installed. Called Steve and he asked for a couple of pictures. Without coming on site assessed it could be done. Showed up a couple of days later and installed the new door opener. Fantastic service. Refer him with confidence.

Steve saved my mother in Toronto a tonne of money. He walked in, looked at the slope of the garage, and instantly divined that the accumulated salt evaporating on the lower side of of the slope had corroded the cable and cable hook over time. It was like watching some kind of garage door god musing about his subjects. While all our relatives thought we had to get a new door, he replaced the cables and hooks for $130.

Steve is amazing! He is honesty, integrity, punctuality, knowledge, and skill all rolled into one package. His prices are more than reasonable, and his work is nothing short of superlative. This guy is real gem. If you go to anyone else, you are doing yourself a major disservice. I highly recommend Steve and am sure that you will too!

My garage door was not properly installed by the builder of my home. As a result, the steel cable came off the spool and got tangled up. The door was seized and could not be closed. I called Steve and he was able to arrive within 3 hours. He quickly fixed the door and corrected the installation of my garage door opener as well, taking time to explain how he was going to prevent the problems from occurring again. I found him to be very polite and honest. I called a few other companies and they quoted me significantly more and would only be willing to schedule me for the next day at the earliest.

The Torsion Spring on my 8' x 7' garage door had snapped and I was unable to manually lift up the door. I called Steve Esber on a Friday evening, and he was able to come over by Saturday morning. He seemed like a genuinely honest person, and showed quality workmanship in replacing the Torsion Spring. Steve also added a metal strut across the top section of the door for additional support.

Garage door wouldn't open. Called Open Sesame and they were at our place that afternoon. One of the large springs had broken, and they replaced it together with a companion spring as well. Friends warned me about garage door repair people who come and suggest that a bunch of stuff get replaced that didn't need replacing. In our case, it made sense to replace the second spring given its age. Pricing was fair, Steve seemed very honest and they were fast and courteous.

Steven is a really nice guy who did an excellent job on our garage door. He reconstructed the back of our garage and replaced our 9 ft. door with a 12 ft. door. Door width aside, he left the place looking better than when he started. I would highly recommend him.
