This was our first experience in replacing windows. We were not sure what to expect and after a few calls found the Window and Door Specialist. Everyone we talked to was very friendly and professional. They explained the entire process and had great knowledge of the products. We were even more impressed by the professional installers who came to our house and installed the windows. We would definitely recommend this company.

When I purchased my new front door, I had no idea what was involved. The different types of glass, door types but my sales rep, Michael, made everything very easy and straight forward. When the day of installation came, the installer's truck pulled up and a very friendly and helpful person, John, introduced himself to me. John was very professional and when the job was completed, I was very happy with the workmanship. I know that it took a few extra weeks, but in the grand scheme of things, I am glad I waited. I have the most beautiful front door and I am extremely pleased. If you are looking for a company to replace your Front,Side, Back doors , call The Window & Door Specialist and you will be extremely pleased. To John, thank you for a job well done.

When my husband and myself decided to change the windows in our home we spent alot of time reseaching the various products. We then had a representative, Louis, from The Window & Door Specialist come to our home. He was very informative and answered all of our questions. He took the time to explain the process to us and we felt so confident with him that we chose The Window & Door to handle our project. From the very beginning to the end, we were treated with respect and were always informed of what has happening. From the friendly receptionist to the installation department to the installers, we were very pleased with the service we received. We would highly recommened this company to anyone looking for an excellent and professional team.

I would love to tell you about the quality of their work, but I can't, because I have been waiting 12 weeks for windows that were promised to me in 4-6 weeks, and they still have not been able to confirm an installation date. I went with this company because I wanted Window City windows, and they are a Window City dealer. I ordered in mid-september, and the contract states that it is a “RUSH” order that should be delivered in 4-6 weeks. I dealt with Michael, and he was very aware that we were in a rush as we needed them installed before we moved in. He was very professional at the time and we thought we were dealing with someone who would stand by us. He told us he would try to get it done within 4 weeks, but 6 at the latest. We signed the contract on his assurance. This means that our windows should have been in our house by the end of October at the latest. It is now December 4th and I have been waiting and waiting and waiting, spending my time and energy calling/e-mailing the company to following up. I have been waiting for calls that don’t come when promised, I have been waiting for someone to give me an installation date and still nothing. I have presented them with alternatives including canceling the contract so we could both get out of this mess, and did not receive a repsonse. Save youself the headaches, use a differnt company that has a better rating on HomeStars... and wish me luck with getting this resolved. If you are about to do buiness with this company and would like the work done soon, you better think twice and be suspect of promises.

For more than six months we have been strung along by THE DOOR AND WINDOW SPECIALISTS and ALBION DOORS, both Toronto companies. Buyer beware! We bought a steel door from the Door and Window Specialists which was manufactured by Albion Doors. It was painted. It cost well over $1000 and we were led to believe we had a two year guarantee. When it was one year old the surface paint on the moulding began peeling and we contacted THE DOOR AND WINDOW EXPERTS. After stringing us along, they advised us that they didn't manufacture the door and were not responsible. Who sold us the door? THEY WILL NOT STAND BEHIND THE PRODUCTS THEY SELL! Next, we contacted ALBION DOORS. They have been stringing us along for months now, even getting us to send them the litle vial of paint we had for touch-ups: they claimed they needed it for color matching. Time has been passing and nothing has been happening! THE PEELING IS GETTING WORSE! The last contact we had with Albion Doors was in early September. The owner swore it would be taken care of within two weeks. He hasn't called and no one has arrived to replace the peeling moulding. DO NOT USE THE DOOR AND WINDOW SPECIALISTS- THEY WILL NOT STAND BEHIND THE PRODUCTS THEY SELL YOU! These companies should be put out of business. DO NOT USE ANY COMPANY THAT SELLS ALBION DOORS! THIS COMPANY IS TOTALLY CORRUPT AND WILL SAY ANYTHING.

I called windows and doors for an estimate. The sales rep came very friendy sat with us for a good hour answered all our questions. The job was completed after 4 weeks. The job was well done and looks great.

After struggling with our order for months, the person on the phone actually told me that she ordered the windows backwards because she didn't know how to work the computer. The patio door was installed backwards, and the trim left completely off (so the door looked completely unsecure, even from a distance) for over a month. The front door lock broke less than a year after installation, and they refuse to fix it because "locks aren't covered under the warranty". I cannot believe this company is still in business. They should be absolutely ashamed of themselves.

The customer service was exceptional.The windows were great, at a reasonable price.I would deal with them again!!!!! The salesman was knowledgable and easy to get along with. The installers were quite friendly and professional in their job.

The customer services received from this company is terrible. It took 3 months longer than the promised date and would never return calls when they promised to. The initial installer did not know what they were doing and did a terrible job. I had other people review their work and they agreed it was done unsecurely and unprofessional. After a length discussion they promised to replace all the parts that were damaged due to the terrible installation. Not all the parts were replaced as promised.
